looking for a deal on 18cc domes and a 39 air stryker carb

we are a banshee family and have tried lots of brands of aluminum polish. Last summer at dunefest in oregon we found Holllywood's detailing products at the Cascade Inovations stand, they use it on all there billet items they make. This is the best we have found and you will never buy mothers again. I like it so much that I became a dealer for them and sell on ebay. Check out the link to see the product description and testimonials. I have only been selling for a couple weeks and have had some repeat customers already. Here is a link: best polish ever Please let your friends know how great this stuff is, thanks

Do you have a modded shift star? If so some hit neutrol and others are almost impossible while running. Mine is the latter. You can examine it by just removing the side cover, check the shifter adjustment also. good luck
-
I think the previous post if correct about the c holder being in the wrong position. there is a groove on the shift drum that the holder fits into..I recomend you use some lock tite on those two screws also. One of the screws came loose last trip to the dunes and caused the shifter fork shaft to slip out of the case causing a bent shaft. Good luck Ray

Transmission Problem. Please Help
quadfever54 replied to jburner's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
My son had a similar problem last trip to the dunes, locked in 3rd gear. Pulled off the side cover and found some metal filings. Knew then I had to split the cases, so we waited till we got back home. After pulling the engine and side case again I notices one of the shift fork shafts had come loose because a screw holding the shaft in had come loose causing the problem. I still don't know how the screw ended up inside the tranny area. Anyway close examination with the sidecover off may show you the problem, if not you will need to split the cases. Good Luck Ray -

keep fouling plugs, can't find out why
quadfever54 replied to DIABLO BANSHEE's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
sounds like it is to rich, first make sure filters are clean. I would replace spark plug caps before stator. usually wires would effect one side or other. do both plugs foul or just one side?? if one side try switching wires around and see if any change, if so then might need to repace coil if new caps don't do the trick. Depending what throatle opening your fouling at you may need to check the needle jets or try dropping the needle one or two notches. That did the trick for me after a new top end. It ran perfect before then redid the top end and kept fouling around 3/4 throatle.. I would not go to hotter plug, especiallly at pismo, you may overheat before you know what happened. 8's are as hot as you should go. A weal spark could be the problem but I would try everything else before stator or cdi. good luck and keep us posted Ray -
anyone know a good website to order hard to get carb parts from????

I have 4" extended swing arm. Not quite sure how to adjust preload??, rebound I have been playing with but cant really tell any difference by just pushing the rear down. It seems to be binding or sticking the first two inches you push and will not rebound back!!! Any clues??? thanks

help new topend, stator fouling plugs?
quadfever54 replied to quadfever54's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I called my mechanic today and he said do not use anything hotter then 8's which is what I use. It seems to have plenty of spark, tried a .060 gap to see if it still jumps it , and works fine. I did have a little damage to one of the magnets when I forgot to gap the pick up coil on a practice old stator. I hope it is not effecting it. It is set at .015 which is within specs. I have keihin pwks so slides are in right and no tors, sync is fine there is some tension on the throatle cable because of the boost bottle, they seem to work fine though. Have not messed with the jetting because ran like a champ before topend went out. The oil in crankcase I was referring to is caused when you cloke too much before the engine first started. I had problems before taking it in for boring and the mechanic sucked it all out. He said it is hard to burn out unless the engine is full temp and you use lots of thoatle, which I havent been able to do because of break in period. I am ready to take it up to 3/4 and above next ride. I will try more fresh plugs and hope for success. I am also wondering if there may be some blockage in exhaust causing problems!!! anymore help appreciated , thanks for replies Ray -
still need help with rear shock!!!! what would make th e rear stay down two inches when you compress on the rear???

help new topend, stator fouling plugs?
quadfever54 replied to quadfever54's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
still having problems. left side seems to cut in and out then foul out completely, both plugs are black oily looking. I think I havent been able to burn all the oil out from the crankcase. I run it with out the outerwares hoping to lean it out but no luck. Im going to try a hotter pllug tomorrow. Spark is strong, k&ns are clean, fresh gas what else???? -
i measured the spring when it is in the upright position and it is 8.5" when you press the shee down it does not rebound above 8" I did just finish painting the swingarm, am thinking something is binding the shock but everything looks like it is on right. I did not notice this problem last time I rode the shee

Wondering if there is any adjustment to help rear shock. If you compress the the rear end it does not rebound all the way. It stays down about 2" any help???

help new topend, stator fouling plugs?
quadfever54 replied to quadfever54's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I wouldnt thind the main jet would have any effect at low rpm and idle, maybe I need to change idle jet??? -
just done the top end and replace stator with ricky stator. problem is now it won't idle right, keeps cutting out and oiling up the plugs. Ran like a champ before stator went out. Question: had a modified stator plate which looked advanced at least 4 degress, can timing cause the plugs to foul at low rpms???? I started at +4 and then went to 0 and also put fresh fuel and clean filters. please any help, I am jamming to get ready for vacation.

you might want to use blue locktite on the flywheel nut, I have had one and seen one more come loose right after impact set at number 4, could cause some damage. Also don't forget to set the pick up coil gap, I broke one by forgetting. good luck
