the must be a special tool to help remove it. it is difficult because you cant get anything beside it to wedge it out. maybe something that could wedge between the open ends and go behind it to compress it. any help appreciated

Does anyone know where to get the rubber dust covers for the mounting bolt on the rear caliper. The bolt is seized to the caliper, but turns free on the mounting bracket. I polished the caliper and because I could not get the bracket off I tore one of the dust covers while polishing on the wheel. I went to oem site and they say you have to replace the whole caliper if dust seals are bad. I have a hard time replacing the whole thing for two little rubber covers. Plus now I have all teh work of poishing it also. any one know where to go from here?????
Is it possible to replace the a arm ball joints?? can they be grinded out and weld new ones in. Would make plating alot easier too. Any suggestion appreciated

Finally got that bolt out. Thanks for all the comments and help. I had to use a sawsall and cut just inside the frame on each side. pulled out the swing arm and the bolt came right out then. I was rusted to the shaft big time. Could not break it loose by pounding on it. Thanks again for all the replys to this topic.

anyone know how and if you can replace the ball joints on banshee a arms. also is it possible to powdercoat or chrome a arms and whats the best way to do it.
thanks
thanks for all the reply's , I am totally impressed with this forum site. used to go to atv connection. com but since my sons and I got banshees we get very little response from the site. seems like all bllasters and warriors.
Anyway my one concern with getting out the BFH is I don't want to cause any damage to the frame. Since the bolt needs replacing I may consider cutting it out. Could use a little advice on exactly where to cut. I really appreciate all the pictures and help. How much was the stainless bolt?? that may solve future rust problems. I will also put in the grease fitting. We put one on the axle housing when we replaced the bearings awhile back.
thanks loads

I can't get the swing arm bolt to break lose, the nut is off and when I try to drive the bolt out it does not budge, wondering if the bushings have worn a groove that may be hanging it up. any suggestions????? please
