same thing happens to me and my buddy. It usually happens after you hit water. I just slam on the break and kill the engine, nothing else works except turning off the gas. The shee was screamin until i killed it. To me, its not worth fixing, it happens very rarely. BTW i have my kill switch removed. HOWEVER, since it happend last, i installed a pro design kill switch. I've yet to see if that works

Mark, Do you have 3 NEW head gaskets? Where do you live? Ill take some pictures of my soon-to-come- pipe mounts. They will be billet aluminum, which I am going to polish till they look like mirrors

Also, Could I just mill out some exhaust hangers or do they have to be made with rubber shit to reduce vibration?

While riding 3 weeks ago, I did a jump and broke my right side exhaust mount, the stock exhaust clamp came loose, and I noticed that I was missing a pipe spring. By the sound of the engine, I figure the pipe spring fell off first, and I know for a fact I broke the exhaust mount on a jump. Anyway, a compression test BEFORE my exhause fell off read 135 in the left cylinder, 125 in the right. Could this loose exhaust pipe have affected the compression in the right cylinder, and if so, how much? Im thinking about replacing the head gasket when I replace both exhaust o-rings and pipe springs. I shouldnt have more than 50 hours on a rebuild, so is the gasket worth it? Are cometic gaskets any good for stock compression engines? Thanks all, -Brian

I ride in wading river/shoreham area. Its basically just west of riverhead town and splish splash maybe 10 miles. Im 15, and goin on a huge ride today with guys from bluetraxx and 450rhq. They are from outta town too and alll 15, or 16. Your welcome to come if you want, just shoot me a pm asap!

Im selling my 1997 banshee. It is mostly stock with regards to engine/suspension. 4 new Maxxis Razr tires, PRM belly skid plate, AC swingarm skid plate. New Ricky Stator stator, tors eliminator kit, lightend flywhell, shift star cut, armadillo bumper, and DG nerf bars. Also has some sort of aftermarket clutch. I just changed the clutch lever and cable as well. The quad runs MINT and the only reason for sale is because I am undergoing a knee operation (again) in august, so I want to build a 250r while I recover. Air filter cleaned after every long ride, or whenever needed. Everything greased and maintained properly. Tranny fluid changed every 10 hours. Golden spectro is the only fluids I run through this bike, aside from engine ice for coolant. I guess im kinda like dagger, i ride illegal (only place to ride), and I run. Haven't been caught yet, however im gettin a new 450 this winter, and then its strictly legal riding and XC racing except for the occasional night ride Just because the spots on long island are illegal doesnt mean they are crappy, or small for that matter. I've been to PA and NJ and the LI trails are BY FAR the best for sport quads. They aint small either If any long islanders wanna hook up and do some riding in the shoreham/wading river area hit me up

around here if you even think there might be a cop RUN because they are all assholes they tell you ohh stop and they let you go because its easier for thier lazy fat asses. if you can get away GO so true my man... sad... but true! Around here if the cops like your quad, they will impound it and buy it at auction for themselves. Its pathetic and NY needs to wake the F*$@ UP and realize how shitty things have gotten for everyone
