  1. Race gas will not gum up like pump gas. Race gas will last a year if stored in the drum. When put into gas cans (plastic) the sun causes it to break down and start losing octane points. You should use it within a month, or dump it in your truck
  2. Well with a full Duncan setup, I would suggest them. But they will set you up for larger carbs, and race gas. You will end up with 34 PJ's and race gas if you don't run it already. They do excellent work, and know their stuff, but experience costs.
  3. There is a lot more to it than just making some bends and welds. There are many angles in there that need to be addressed. Months are sprent on R&D before a good set of a arms come out. If you want to do it, do it, but don't expeact to trump what Doug Roll took 20 years to learn.
  4. Add 40 lbs and turn all the suspension knobs different ways and it will handle like a stock banshee. Really, what are you asking? Can you make a Banshee take a YFZ at at track? MX? Drag? Drag yes. MX, mod for mod, I'd take the YFZ anyday. That's what it was made for, and it does it well. The Banshee is still in production, if it was the best thing for MX, people would still run it. Go to the track and see what the best starting point is for the racing you want to do.
  5. Should be around 50-53 depending. That's about what I made before porting. Dyno jetting IMHO is always too rich for the real world. The dyno is a load that you quad never sees in real life. I have always had to jet back down after dyno runs. But if you want to spend the money, do so. I did it, just to do it, and I don't regret it. It was just to get the chart. Besides, I got the guys at Trinity to say that my bike ran damn well for not being ported.
  6. Maybe it was just my TCS's. I know one of them has Eibach's.
  7. Most rebuilders I know respring with Eibach. I know that's what are on my Elka's, and I think the TCS too.
  8. They had someone doing shock for them a long time ago. I believe they were just rembuilt and revalved stockers with their sticker on it,
  9. Out of business. Long story, but they closed their doors. They had moved into a larger facility, and that costed much more, then when the whole Cannondale thing fell throug (they were a dealer), they took a loss on that too. You can still get their nerfs from the company that used to weld them for them. Accufab. They sell them under the X Factor name. Same nerfs, different logo.
  10. Without a doubt the best mod you can do. I would rather ride a piped motor with suspension mods orver a ported motor with stock suspension any day. It's not what you got, it's what you get to the ground.
  11. I call BS. Plain Toomeys in the pics on the ad.
  12. Sand and turkey... I will be leaving for Glamis in a few hours. Then some race gas washed down by Maxima 927. Maybe some roost for desert.
  13. If you really want to step into the arena of long travel, you need to make some serious mods to your bike. I am considering a Laeger frame with 250R geometry. You will need to then purchase all susoension components for a 250R which will allow you to run the true longtravel from anyone you choose. Basically, what you will end up with is a 250 frame with a Banshee motor and plastic, bu no one needs to know. Monkey Boy
