  1. When you say it works, what do you mean? Is there tension, are you looking at the clutch plates, are they disengaging? I

  3. Can you see the tension being released on the clutch pads? If not, could it be that when you bolted the disc holder (The piece that holds the discs in place), you didn
  4. I think you just answered your own question. MX ports are for MX style ridding. Drag Ports are for winning races.
  5. Can you, or anyone, explain how a porting job can cause a dead spot in the RPM range that cannot be cured with proper jetting? I am not trying to be a smart ass, I honestly would like to know the mechanics of this phenomenon. What is happening? The engine has the right air fuel mix from low RPM to, say 6000 RPM and then the mix is not right and the engine drops off, then at, say 7000 RPM, it gets the right mix again and revs on out. Are you saying that this
  6. Are you having a problem with the bolt backing out? If so I would Use loctite. http://www.spankysparts.com/red-loctite.html If the bolt is staying tight but the bracket is coming loose and moving down. That would mean that the axle is moving forward enough to allow the tensioner to fall down. One thing you can do to help reduce this problem is to grind a small notch in the a-arm were the tensioner bolt comes in contact. This will help keep it in place. Then you need to find out why the axle is moving forward.
  7. I wouldn't put it back in my bike. What can happen is, the clutch pad fingers can get caught up on those ridges, which in turn will cause slipping. No good for power.
  8. I second that.

  15. What elevation are you running at? What pipes are you going to run? I am having a hek of a time deciding. I thought I was going to run Rockets, but know I'm thinking Shearer. I want to have as much low end power as I can get without giving anything at the top. (Good luck, I know)

  19. Pull off your carbs and reeds and look at the intake side of your cylinders. You will see grinding marks if there has been work done. If the ports look like they haven
  20. Its been more than 12 years, try 18. I love it the way it is. If they are to make any changes I would like to see better suspension and even a twin 450cc or even 500cc.
