  1. This is why i brought up these other companies. Holyman is trying to say that the "little" guy cannot compete unless there is a mandate. Actually, we do get a large share of our fuel from down their and that is pecicly why the prices went up. And you will continue to pay higher prices until you get to the point where bitching isn't enough and you actually change your habits, which in turn will steer the market, possibly to the point of an alternitive. I can't believe you guys don't understand this. I agree the oil industry does have a huge hold on us. But, the reason for this is politicians. And you guys now want the politicians to get involved with an alternative. LISTIN, we need the politicians OUT, and the market to get back into control. This will NOT happen if the government gets involved, MORE.
  2. I disagree. It will happen without it being mandated. As prices increase, the demand for an alternative will increase. Think about it, it is the same for all products. I understand that the government is involved in the oil industry. This is precisely why they should not be involved in the alternatives. Because of there involvement with the oil industry they are falsely inflating the product and interfering with supply/demand process. I say get the government out of everything!!! Have we not learned that the government will F*** up just about everything that they get involved with??? Have you noticed the price of housing lately? Is your answer going to involve the government mandating prices for housing, as well? After all, we all need a place to live. Listen, if there was a market for corn oil, there would be corn oil stations popping up all over the country.
  3. Do word problems confuse you?

  5. No, I have never build a bike from nothing, but I have had a bike and turned into nothing.
  6. Who
  7. I have always had the older ones with J-arms. And I am an old guy that started riding them when they first came out. I have an 87 now and I just converted it to a-arms, only because I wanted to get extended a-arms and I wanted to have more options, not because of any problems. I say buy it. If you find later that you want a-arms, just pony up a few bucks and install a-arms. Batoutofshell, is that true, they are geared different. I did not know that
  8. I will be heading out that weekend. Shannon
  9. You found me out. I can
  10. Again, I can appreciate what you are saying. I like the fact that you are talking about being proactive, and I would hope we all would be. But, you can
  11. Removing piston pieces from the lower end: Dump some solvent (Or even some fuel) into the lower end and then flip the bike upside down. Keep doing it until you get it clean. How did it happen?: Did you, by any chance, over rev the motor for longer than usual?
  12. Get rid of it. If your bike is overheating, then you have other issues that you need to deal with. Try a Noss/Cool Head and some Engine Ice.
  13. Woods and dunes, thats about it so far...
  14. Your right, your wheel should not move towards your foot peg. If you can see that the movement is in your carrier, then you should disassemble it remove your axle and bearings. Make sure there is no damage (Wear) to the carrier, including the spacer between the bearings (This spacer is a certain length and if it is worn smaller it will need replaced). Get some new bearings and seals. Reassemble and tighten the shit out of the axle nut. Your Clymer
  15. I know a lot of you guys do many of these. Just chose the one you do the most or like doing the most.
  16. Got it. Maybe he is aking if its true??? He does ask what kind of tool to use for checking to see if its strieght. (BTW-Dial indicator)
  17. There should be zero endplay (side to side). There is a spacer between the bearing inner races that spaces the bearings to their proper place. This allows you to tighten the hell out of them without preloading them. If you tighten the hell out of them and the axle becomes harder to turn, it is because you have worn out the bearings/bearing fits and the alignment is no longer right. You will have to tear into it and see what the damage is. Ducman, Just an FYI: Runout is different than endplay. Runout refers to the trueness of the axle, or a bend.
  18. Just moved to Arizona! Now this is a state that knows how to live!! Beautiful sunny days and warm balmy evenings. What a place! It is beautiful. I've finally found my home. I love it here. June 14th: Really heating up. Got to 100 today. Not a problem. Live in an air-conditioned home, drive an air-conditioned car. What a pleasure to see the sun everyday like this. I'm turning into a sun worshipper. June 30th: Had the backyard landscaped with western plants today. Lots of cactus and rocks. What a breeze to maintain. No more mowing lawn for me. Another scorcher today, but I love it here. July 10th: The temperature hasn't been below 100 all week. How do people get used to this kind of heat? At least, it's kind of windy though. But getting used to the heat is taking longer than I expected. July 15th: Fell asleep by the community pool. (Got 3rd degree burns over 60% of my body). Missed 3 days of work. What a dumb thing to do. I learned my lesson though. Got to respect the ol' sun in a climate like this. July 20th: I missed Lomita (my cat) sneaking into the car when I left this morning. By the time I got to the hot car at noon, Lomita had died and swollen up to the size of a shopping bag, then popped like a water balloon. The car now smells like Kibbles and shits. I learned my lesson though. No more pets in this heat. Good ol' Mr. Sun strikes again. July 25th: The wind sucks. It feels like a giant freaking blow dryer!! And it's hot as hell. The home air-conditioner is on the fritz and the AC repairman charged $200 just to drive by and tell me he needed to order parts. July 30th: Been sleeping outside on the patio for 3 nights now, $225,000 house and I can't even go inside. Lomita is the lucky one. Why did I ever come here? Aug. 4th: It's 115 degrees. Finally got the air-conditioner fixed today. It cost $500 and get the temperature down to 85. I hate this stupid state. Aug. 8th: If another wise ass cracks, "Hot enough for you today?" I'm going to strangle him. Damn heat. By the time I get to work, the radiator is boiling over, my clothes are soaking wet, and I smell like baked cat!! Aug 9th: Tried to run some errands after work. Wore shorts, and when I sat on the seats in the car, I thought my ass was on fire. My skin melted to the seat. I lost 2 layers of flesh and all the hair on the back of my legs and ass. Now my car smells like burnt hair, fried ass, and baked cat. Aug 10th: The weather report might as well be a damn recording. Hot and sunny. Hot and sunny. It's been too hot to do shit for 2 damn months and the weatherman says it might really warm up next week. Doesn't it ever rain in this damn desert? Water rationing will be next, so my $1700 worth of cactus will just dry up and blow over. Even the cactus can't live in this damn heat. Aug 14th: Welcome to HELL! Temperature got to 115 today. Cactus are dead. Forgot to crack the window and blew the damn windshield out of the car. The installer came to fix it and said. "Hot enough for you today?" My sister had to spend $1,500 to bail me out of jail. Freaking Arizona. What kind of a sick demented idiot would want to live here. Will write later to let you know how the trial goes.
  19. You got to be kiddy. Sandra Bullocks Ass is amazing in that movie.
  20. Keep in mind: In any collision, the heaviest and fastest will almost always be the safest. But you got to strap yourself in.
