  1. Both ways you end up with a chain that is the same length, so, I would recommend buying the chain breaker and shortening your chain. You can always use the chain breaker. If you are starting to play around with the gearing, chances are you
  2. Thanks guys. I understand what you are referring to now. I have heard a little about this in the past but need to learn some more. So my research begins
  3. Thanks for the reply. You nailed it. He called me back and said he got it running after he disconnected the TORS at the black box.
  4. A friend of mine just called and was asking me about his sons blaster problem. I ran out of ideas and thought I would tap into this pool of information here at the Banshee HQ. Apparently it was running fine and then today his son was ridding it and it died. They cleaned the carbs (4 times), checked the plug, etc. The now can get it to idle, but as soon as they give it a little throttle it dies. It has the stock carbs, 310 main, and Toomey Pipe. It also still has the TORS. Any ideas? I thought maybe the TORS, but every Banshee I have ever owned has had them removed, so I don
  5. Try your local auto parts store. Auto Zone, Pep Boys, Napa, etc. They all should carry them.
  6. I understand Harmonics and I understand Phase consolation, but I can get my brain around what you are saying. The harmonics from what forcing frequencies, are you talking about? I think you
  7. Maybe you should start a new thread for this. It would be easier to find later.
  8. Alka-Seltzer night time, Cold and Flu. Take it before you go to bed and you will wake up feeling great. Fluids, Fluids, Fluids,
  9. Push, I think you are on to something there. I wish I had my own dyno so I could dig deeper into this idea. Oh well, I guess I'll just wait for someone else to do it and then I'll just pay for it.
  10. Banchetta, That dyno looks great for a stock stroke and cylinders. Did you just clean them up, or what?
  11. You might want to read this. It has some really good info: http://my.execpc.com/~davewrit/Powder.html Here is an excerpt from it: The question keeps coming up about doing cylinders and cylinder heads. I have seen it done, but I would never do it to one of my own. I would STRONGLY advise NOT to coat these. You want to dissipate heat, not retain heat by putting an insulator over it! . Powder coating can be a great thermal and electrical insulator. If you must have it coated, use a thin film of wet paint.
  12. I also run the Boss intake (From Jim). Highly recommend. I recommend the 34PJ carbs. I feel like they are the easiest to tune. And you can pick them up for under $300 a set. Just my opinion. I
  13. I say go for it man. If you have the time and money for the tools, research it and do it. That is how all these other guys got started. Good luck to you.
  14. I'll second that Happy Holidays
  15. When we say it comes on around 6000 we are talking about after it comes on in the beginning, after the transfer point at around 5000.
  16. I gave myself a $1000 bonus this year and each of my employees (2 so far) $500. I understand what you guys are saying about these bonuses. I remember when I worked for someone else; I used to get something lame like a turkey or a $20 gift certificate to a grocery store that was located only on the east coast (I
  17. Think of it as insurance. You may get lucky and ride for a long time without doing it, or you may do a few mods and find yourself screwed one day. It sounds like you are going to start down the trail that most Banshee owner head down, more power, so I would recommend doing it now.
  18. I think we are all on the same page. Now lets see how much power we can get out of these things. By the way, I'm heading to Glamis Wendesday

  21. I put mine after the head, for the same reasons that you stated.
  22. This chart does show Torque and HP compared to RPM. You just have to work at it. The rpm is on the right hand side of the chart. You pick a point on the HP or Torque and draw a line up or down until it connects to the RPM line, then look to the right and that is the rpm at that HP/Torque. You might have to use the left side of your brain. Basically it
  23. Here it is. This is the same one that I posted in the images section.
