  4. OK That makes a little more sense. I agree with what you are saying, except when you say that Gorr has more low end power than a Passion, unless you have compared both of their MX/Woods port jobs. I know you guys are at odds with Passion, but come on. Let

  7. Banchetta, My comments are not meant to be taken personally. But, if they apply, go ahead and take them that way. As for your specific case, are you familiar with your builders work? Does one of your friends run his engine? How did you decide that he could give you what you want? I guess what I am asking is, has he successfully done, in the past, what you are asking him to do, now? It

  9. I just feel like putting my 2 cents in. This is not directed at any one person or group, just thinking out loud. There are a lot of builders out there, each having there own

  11. Is there enough "meat" left for you to run a tap in the hole to clean up the threads? That is what I suggest. The tap for that hole is not going to be cheep, but it should work fine. (Note: don't use a drill to run in the tap ) This is something that should be done after powder coating anyway. That stuff gets everywhere. You should run a tap through each hole and clean all fits (Metal to metal and bearing fits).
  12. I agree that a machinist or someone who taps holes for a living would do just fine using the methods you mentioned. In fact there was a time in my life when I had to tap holes ranging from 1/4
  13. When they make these cases they are line bored as a set. Although you could probably fit a different top with a different bottom, I would plan on getting a set, just to be on the safe side. I would hate to spend all that time putting it together, just to have it not fit properly. That

  15. You can go your whole life without using a drill for tapping a hole and you will be better for it.

  17. Congratulations. I am behind you guys all the way!! Thank you for your service.
  18. Just keep in mind that running an engine rich wont cause damage and running an engine lean WILL. That is why these guys are telling you to go bigger. Here is some very useful info I got from someone on this site. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/jetfaq.html If you read this you will be an expert.
  19. It sounds like everybody has got you covered here. The only thing I would add is, be sure you have the Allen at the proper angle when trying to screw it in. If you
  20. Your right, you did say that. I guess you need to talk to your builder and see if you will be able to put a stroker crank in those cylinders, or if you need new ones.

  22. Wallrat, You are right about reporting your cylinders to accommodate a stoker crank. Depending on the amount of porting on your cylinders, you may need to get some new ones so they can be ported to match the stroker. 01bansheefox, If you are looking for some more power, I would suggest getting your stock cylinders ported and skip the stroker for now. You will be pleased with the power gain and it won
