Not sure of the differences really if any. Maybe a few updates since I believe the new 05 models are trx250ex rather than the sport trax. I believe this is correct. Though you will probably need to look for around a 2000 to 2001 model for the prices your looking for.

Honda 250EX is the only quad I can think of fitting those parameters. Good little quad.

Pro-design offers something similiar with their manifold system.

Sorry CEJ, couldn't help myself.

Porting in a nutshell is basically allowing your motor to run more efficiently. It's really a balance game and is also dependant on other mods so they all work in unison. It's a balancing game between timing, volumes, direction of flow and velocities to achieve the desired affect. These are almost infinitly adjustable and this is why there are so many styles and types of porting. Tuners just name the style of porting to what "generally" satisfies those type of riders.
-
Most important thing not to forget is to do some flow bench testing. You need to check your work during and after your porting. . The banshee is a 2 cylinder and both cylinders need to be as close to identical as possible or >=95% efficiency. I'm not trying to discourage anyone from doing it, you just need to be aware of the reality of what's actually involved to do it correctly.

Well it's of course personal preference. Chrome is obviously easier to maintain and it has a higher gloss finish. Though a good polish job and most people can't tell it's not chrome. Once chrome is scratched it's pretty much there to stay as where bare aluminum can be repolished. Chrome doesn't adhere to aluminum as well as it does steel and if it's scratched or peeling, you really have no other choice than to have it rechromed. My personal preference is to polish anything that can be polished and chrome only steel parts.

MM forged pistons are more prone to cold seizure. You have to let them warm up first, you will heat the pistons up faster than you do the juggs and walla. Definitely more critcal with forged. Cast you can fire up and go. Also read that link in my last post at the bottom, you have some stuff turned around. -
I don't think anyone has posted it yet, but I recommend NGK.

Yea I went last year and it was great. I like all the quads and people. I bs with them as much as I ride. Love the drags too, you won't find a better time to do it. I'm definitely going back this year can't wait, just hope plenty of bhq'ers will be there. Come on Stephen and Tyler, lets do Snake Hunt!!! I've been many times when it's slower but the busier it is the more I like it. Really though snake hunt isn't that bad at all. Just looks bad from the parking lot, dunes are still plenty open to let it all hang out. Some females literally do just that.

If it has an aftermarket head and you need some stock size domes for it to run pump gas, let me know. I have an extra set laying around.

Rebuild coming in the next month!

Haha, yep that's what I've always said and man does it cost a ton. -
Awesome, thanks for the info. Engine seem to run cooler? Seems like it would have to since it's like a 200 fin cooler.

Word!!! I've used pro-x for several years and never a hint of a problem. There is definite benefits to using cast pistons. Though I would never recommend using cast pistons with higher compression unless you plan on running race gas. Plenty of people ruin cast pistons from improper tuning and detonation and a forged piston will buy you more time before the pistons goes. You need tighter tolerances with cast and a lot of people don't follow those. So they are more finicky or however you spell it as far as a piston is concerned but an excellent piston no doubt. Here's a link you may have read Cole about the weight issues. I don't know when this was written or how much holds true for banshee pistons. So take it as you wish. It wasn't a deciding factor for me. I've just had better luck with pro-x than wiseco's. But I think anyone can probably get a bad piston. I wouldn't hesitate using wiseco's again and I may in the future. Cast v/s forged pistons -
What Tyler said, just make sure your carbs and engine mods compliment each other.

http://www.planetsand.com/ubbthreads/showf...sb=5&o=&fpart=1 OR CLICK HERE And do exactly what CC said. Get the BBB in on it and pin their asses to the wall on this. A Lawyer can definitely dig up every complaint and return they've had with this type of problem.

There's a lot more to it than just reading about how to do something. It would also help to work with an engine builder under his wing for several months, purchase the several thousands of dollars of equipment they use, then you may be able to get the results of a professional. But then again, could we really call you a home mechanic after such training? It's your call, it's your motor. I persoanlly would only attempt it after having done the above mentioned beforehand. If you think you can get professional results the first time, have at it. Just know, the risk is that this can cost you way more than a professional builder.

I did this also, made a big difference. I new throttle cable can also make a huge difference if yours is old.

Passion Racing has them for 150 I believe.

I've worked along side women for the last 14yrs. I've listened to story after story of issues, relationships, affairs, you name it. Based on my experiences and women, is half the time they don't know what the hell they want. But one thing they do want whether their commited to you or not is a commitment from the other person. I don't know Brandon if she had a commitment from you or what kind of commitment you had, but most women require some type of commitment. If they don't get this they will move on. It's the sociological aspect of the "family" ideology that most women seek and want more than anything. So if your ready for that commitment like you stated and you want to spend the rest of your life with her, you better let her know some how some way. Mine almost got away for the exact same reason but once we were engaged it was a different story. That's been 17yrs ago. Good luck and I want to hear a happy ending to this story. I may be totally off the mark here with your relationship, I'm just going by the information that was given. I wish the best for you either way.
