  1. No you absolutely cannot mix different dot fluids. I learned that the hard way years ago. All dot 5 is sylicone based fluid. It will by no means mix with standard dot 3, 4 and 5.1 which are all glycol based. Dot 3, 4 and 5.1 however are compatibe as well as the sythetic brake fluids on the market. Everything is compatible except for the dot 5 silicone based fluid. The thing I'm not sure about is whether the silicone based fluid is compatible with the banshee's brake seals. I know that silicone is not compatible with all seal types and if you don't get all the old dot 3, 4 or 5.1 out when you switch it will literally coagulate and turn to a white jelly. It is really risky and not recommended. Hopefully you got a sythetic 5.1 instead of a silicone dot 5. I know the silicone dot 5 I used years ago was purple colored, not sure if that is standard or not.
  2. There's a whole hellofa lot of difference between being a kid and giving people a run around with their money. Being a kid and ripping people off is two different things.
  3. Lets see this guys name and address?
  4. I never really noticed much of a difference with bars alone. Now if you get a stem with the anti-vibe system, you will notice a difference with that.
  5. I need some help convincing my wife I need those. Can't just buy those though, need some billet juggs to go with them. Oh and a billet crank. I just shat myself too, thinking of the price.
  6. Damn that wasn't funny. Felt like I was struck by lightening.
  7. Well I paid 700 for my set and I didn't think that was unreasonable at all. Like I said before I would of bought them if they were even more.
  8. Need a lock for your spark plug lock.
  9. Good info!! I'll keep you in mind. Paint work is my next project.
  10. Yep, just add your cost over the price of the regular steel. Rememeber though you don't have to pay for chroming with stainless, just the polishing. Though all your chrome pipes have to be polished anyway. Also add the expense for the added level of difficulty and I don't think were talking 3x the price of the total package. Lets be optimistic, lets make it happen. Offer both types of steel if your worried about price being a major factor.
  11. I've used Trinity on several things. I've been totally pleased. My experience hasn't always been absolutely perfect but they always handle the problems immediately and effectively. I've never had a major problem, only problem was they sent me the wrong part. No biggie!!! As for their motor work and parts they are absolutely outstanding. The best advice I can give anybody in dealing with a certain builder is to know exactly what you want and be able to relay what you expect from your builder and if he can meet those expectations. I would defintely talk to Trinity or any builder before sending them anything, tell then your exact expectations and whether they can meet that for you. Call some other builders and do the same. If your familiar with dyno's, tell the builders to send you results of their motor work (other mods included) so this will give you an idea of where and what type of power delivery your looking for. All I can say is get involved in your build and you less likely to be dissapointed. DON'T LET THEM BUILD YOU A MOTOR ON WHAT THEY THINK IS BEST FOR YOU!!! Good luck!!
  12. My sentiments exactly.
  13. Well you guys have fun and of course be safe. Weather looks pretty good for Saturday anyway. I've been keeping an eye on it for my trip also. I'll be looking for some good vids and pics and I'll have some from my trip.
  14. Stainless steel is so much better than chromed mild steel it's not even funny. It's a lot stronger, It won't rust, chip or peel and will maintain a chrome appearance for the life of the pipe with no maintenance needed to maintain it. The pipes will basically look like they rolled off the assembly line 10 years or more down the road and should actually last a life time not just your banshee's. Just think how many pipes you see that rust from the inside out. Water is just part of the biproduct of combustion and plays havoc on the inside of your pipes. I just think people should expect this quality. I know you can't find anything less than stainless or titanium on sport bikes and a lot of 4 stroke quads. Why should we settle for less on our banshee's. It should be a market standard bar none. Just never made a lick of sense to me to have it any other way.
  15. I personally like a diamond ice. It's a greyish silver paint with chrome metal flake.
  16. Another nice option I would like to see is polished or plain silencers. Chromer should be able to polish those out pretty easy and also make you guys a little more money on that option. Man I love options.
  17. What would you say about a 400 stroker making 70hp with a powerband 5k rpm wide and a 400 stroker making 90hp that's 2k rpm wide? Is one better than the other? Something most people don't ever even think about.
  18. My opinion is that it's definitely not worth the switch if your looking for better performance. They are too close to warrant the cash for the little difference in performance. If your looking for a rejuvinated look and new pipes are on the list then yea T5's are a good place to look. The T5's definitely have a better quality finish than the FMF's though. As for power, both pretty similiar in power delivery, the T5's just produce the power about 500 rpms higher and last about 500 longer than the fatties. Just need to figure out what style of riding you do. The more on and off throttle riding you do the quicker you want your power to come on such as the fatties will provide. The more open throttle riding you do the more you will benefit from the T5's.
  19. Man I love that stair case, looks kickass. Congrats..
  20. Congrats DG!!! I'd love to have one for a trail machine.
  21. That's the exact unit I've been eyeing for a while. My BD is coming soon. I'll have a bird drop a hint in the wifes ear.
  22. I couldn't begin to draw it but I think a rocketship like the one below with a set of rocket pipes coming out the sides of it that look like side thrusters. Have the exhaust port flang connect to it where the blue rings are at. Have them angle down naturally, with their unmistakeable style, making them look like a set of fat wings. Finally have the cans taper off to the rear with flames coming out the back of them. Do away with those side wings on the rear of that rocket though. There you have it, Rocket Pipes, literally Anyway maybe just a thought to spark some idea's or progress from there.
  23. Happy Birthday!!! Enjoy it while you can cause next year you will be considered old.
