  1. Yea give me the brand and kind of speaker or post a pic. My brother is speaker shopping right now for a nice set of home speaks. Sorry about the bad luck btw. Did you just have basic 10/20/10 insurance?
  2. What he said
  3. Yea, that's a little steep for chromed steel, especially when the SS can be had for just a tad more. There's a pair of the SS models for about that price on ebay.
  4. I couldn't afford the insurance let a alone the car, even with a perfect driving record.
  5. Something a little vintage, though not too old. It would be a sleeper and whoop everythings ass cause of the motor. It would make higher priced exotic race cars seem slow in comparison though nothing really high tech or fancy. How about the old GMC Cyclone/Typhoon or Buick GN. Loved those cars.
  6. Yea i've never stripped one out, not even close. They are very strong and the SS kit is superior to any of the stock nuts and bolts on the shee. Polishing them is easy but will take more time if you want to remove any of the dimpling around the head of the bolt. I use around a 360 grit sanding disk on my die grinder and zip the dimples smooth prior to polishing.
  7. They are normally 699 though they are not chrome, they are stainless steel. They make them at Trinity. They may have chrome steel models i'm not sure. But the SS models are worth the price to me. They are first rate pipes.
  8. That is hilarious.
  9. I noticed the Trinity sandahl banshee didn't have the linkage system either. Rear shock bottom was bolted straight to the swinger. So that is at least 1 shee or maybe 2 that has it.
  10. That's a good idea also. Thanks for the replies guys. I'll try and figure something out cause yes the filters do rub together and that pisses me off too.
  11. Yea the " show polished" kits cost more and those are not the ones selling on ebay. If that's what you want then you need to call him and order a show polished set. Those are just like chrome.
  12. Alloyboltz.com seller by the same name on ebay has the best SS sets. Most complete with the best finish. I bought another set from someone else also though not quite as happy with that set. He has everything for the banshee except the upper a-arms bolts. Otherwise you can get everything else. The kits are pretty complete though they lack a few things but not much. As for the allen head bolts, love them, and they look great. Here's a LINK.
  13. Oh ok, you just moved them back a little farther out of the way. Hmm good idea, I may just do that instead cause I was looking and don't think I have the room to fit a shield in there. Thanks Ron you da man!!!
  14. Ron, I couldn't get it to work.
  15. Well guys, many of you know that it sucks when your outerwears are stuck to your pipes with open filters. I bought the Cascade flexible fiberglass units, not totally happy with them, they are affective but lack that custom austhetic look all banshee's should have, ya know. I need some idea's on what to use. I've got some rolled stainless I could cut to form with the curve of the midpipe section. Possibly clamp it to the exhaust using hose clamps. I need a spacer which I bought some poly spacers, not sure if they will hold up to the heat or not. I need some thermal brakes to stop heat transfer to the shield (possibly ceramic?). I hope convection won't heat the shield up to still melt my outerwears (not sure about the space I need between shield and pipe). I can't have a whole lot of space since many of you know it's tight already. There somebody out there that has done this or somone that has some good idea's, let me hear it before I start this project. Thanks in advance. I'll post some pics of the final product if I get it right.
  16. Holyman, what is it specifically your trying to avoid? Is it just surface rust from scratches? I'm assuming your looking for an axle that won't rust once knicked or scratched. Is this correct? Or am I missing something?
  17. You may also check with trinity, they were running a special on their ss pipes. Not sure if it is still going or not.
  18. WOW, amazing story, glad to see everyone helping out. Made me
  19. My pipe comes on a little later in the rpm but the power band is really wide. I maintained my low end, surprisingly, though I have mods to maintain it. I would say they are more of a higher revving pipe and can accomodate almost any mod even up to stroked 500cc banshee's. They are not as popular as some, though Trinity can't keep the things in stock, they sell like hot cakes but most people don't want to shell out that kind of money when you can save 2 to 300 dollars for other pipes. I personally would of bought them of they were 900.
  20. Anyone checked out the ASR heim joint tie rods? They look killer but I;m somehwhat weary of ASR products. Any input on their stuff?
  21. It is definitely a worthwhile mod with a quicker acceleration and smoother idle ( really smooth). I could not find any draw back to the performance whatsoever. Only thing I have ever heard negative in any way about a lightened flywheel is problems with motor dying and the slotted flywheels have a greater tendancy to shatter. I have not seen any evidence to back these claims in either scenario. I would do it again in a heart beat.
  22. The fmf fatty is probably the best all around pipe from low to top. There may be some others but not as well known as the fmf.
  23. Thats some pretty kickazz numbers for sure. I may get mine on the dyno before long since a guy in my town has one.
