Then pressure is building up in the side case, ie. crank seal is bad. Are you smoking a lot out the right side exhaust more so then before? Is your fluid getting low?
Stock carbs are not my forte so I can't really give you an idea on your jetting, but if you still running a stock impeller doing hard trail riding I'd invest in a billet one for piece of mind. Hows your overflow tube look? Are you puking any fluid out? Most likely anyone in here will say that an aftermarket rad and/or impeller is just covering up a problem, so I hope someone who rides more trails can chime in and give you a baseline temperature reading.
If I'm not mistaken you will want to include spindles with a yfz swap, to retain ground clearance and to keep the ball joints in good shape. 500 bucks will not get you much with a front end, if you want a good set of arms hit up Tim and Stellar Machine and Performance, he's a site sponsor.
Well high compression will reduce reliability in that motor, especially if it doesn't have a welded crank. Honestly I ran 185 psi with a stock stroke crank pretty damn hard with no issues. Timing was +4 timing on gas +7 on alky. With VP110 your fine running timing with that setup.
That tube is the exact tube I stated in the first reply man, all it does is run to the ground, if you have that hooked up to your coolant hoses you've got a problem, its just a side case vent. Run it to the ground and be done with it.
As title states, only a couple rides on these, still have molding marks/nipples if you will on them as well as tire marked from sandtoyz unlimited. No dings, dents, and all tires hold air. $400 shipped.
Do it yourself unless you have loads of money or just don't like knowing how these machines work! Do yourself a favor and learn it. First things first, do a leakdown test. Let us know the results, then we will go to the next step. Oh, and list us the motor components and specs.
