Dont listen to locogato he's an amature Truthfully I think why the hell not get a 250? It might scare him a few times but he'll get the hang of it. Anyone that knows how to ride can ride anything as long as you respect it and know your limits. But a 125 will move his ass just fine if thats what he wants. Now if we are talking 4 stroke then a 200cc minamum

Well that just sucks ass. Well I grew up just 14 miles up river from florence and you have to be carefull of some of the people over there. sure people are nice and nod their head at you when you walk in a store but they dont fight like people do in the city. Those guys over there are a bunch of jarheads and tend to get a little crazy when they start drinking. I remember a few parties I went to where people shooting at each other was the expected. I have even seen a lady push a grand piano down a flight of stairs at her husband and chop up his car and boat, (and his whole house for that matter) with an ax. People in the sticks are crazy when you piss them off. Cops are few and far inbetween over there and usually dont respond when you call them so no point in calling them. Man I can tell you countless stories of guys playing russian roulette and just walking thru neighborhoods shooting everything that moved (called the cops that night and they said no officers were on duty) Anyway, hope everything turns out good in the end. Good luck

This is way off topic but is it possible to respoke a rim myself? Does anyone know of a website that has a tutorial or tips on how to do this? I have never done it before and am not sure if the spokes need to be torqued or even how tight they need to be. I feel confident I can get the rim "true" but you can have a true rim with loose spokes and you can have it true with overtightenned spokes. Reason I am doing this is because the outer rim on my cr250 is a purple anodized rim by excel and I want to replace it with a polished or chrome outer rim. Thanks again

Ok guys I have the basics of what rebound is. If Im correct then it is how fast the shock returns to its normal length after being depressed. Am I correct? Ive never messed with the stock shocks but noticed that there is an adjustment on them. What would be best for the dunes? My girlfriend rides a blaster and that thing will about beat you to death out there. I think the blaster also has the adjustment on there so how do I do it guys. Do I need more rebound or less? should the shock have more spring to it for rougher terrain like that or be stiffer? Thanks again for any help you can give me

Plugs, start switch, octane booster...
NugShee replied to PolyKarbon's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I run BR8EG's in my bike. They are a little more expensive but worth it in my opinion. A positive attribute to the EG series is that its damn hard to foul a plug. -
20cc domes would be about right for your aplication. You could run 19cc domes with no problem also and that is what I personally run but then you have to run a mix of race gas and pump gas. If you only ride once every few weekends like myself I would get smaller domes but if your ride everyday then the price for race gas will start adding up. Your engine will also run much cooler with a noss head. If the price of a aftermarket head is a little high for your taste then you can have your stock head shaved and the domes reshaped which will virtually do about the same thing as the aftermarket head will do. Price for a modded head will run about $90 and Im sure there are a few members on the forum that can do it for you.

yeah!

Dont stress out, here in 6 years you will have it paid for and it only cost you $17,000 after interest and everything is said and done Oops I mean good purchase. Id like to have one myself but for the price, damn.

nice nice, I like the fact that its not finished but the expensive part is done. Now you can customize it to your taste. Plenty of land now all you need is about 15 dump truck loads of dirt and a backhoe and you have yourself a nice track. Im from the hills so that would be a little to flat for my taste. Also looks like a good spot for huricanes. Good Luck with your new place

just as they stated everythings the same as a stocker except for your adding 4" to it. the 4" inches would be added on a stocker between the shock mount and the axle. make sure you consider things like a drain hole in the bottom for moisture and the chain slider mounts. building a swinger is simple if you are carefull and are good with metal fab. but remember if your off just a bit on one of your measurments it will cause the axle to be at an angle and either track wrong or wear bearings prematurely. dont forget to add plenty of bracing. Good luck

Plugs, start switch, octane booster...
NugShee replied to PolyKarbon's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Therail is right but what he meant by the octane is that you wont be able to get that high of octane by just adding booster to your pump gas. He also meant that yes you do need high octane fuel when using 19cc domes. I would recommend 110 octane race fuel or better. Mix it 2 gallons race fuel to 3 gallons premium pump gas to make your 5 gallons and then add your oil at the manufacturers recommended amount. usually a bottle to 5 gallons. check your connections on the kill switch and BR8ES plugs are what you need. Good Luck -
holy crap thats the first post I have ever seen where you said something of value. Theres hope for you yet Sorry, was so shocked that bansheefreestyler posted that, that I just had to chime in and congratulate him

how much for a set of Banshee carbs?
-
I prefer Carbon pads due to the fact that they run cooler and dont mark up your rotors as much. $8.99 is the regular price for all TUSK brake pads. so far Tusk has proven to be a very good quality product to me. But thanks for the heads up

well so far everyone's dates have been wrong...the only thing that I keep seeing consistently is 3/14 or 3/15 who knows...i just want the damn game!!!

The sad part is that in society today you expect to get stolen from if you leave your car unlocked overnight. What ever happenned to if it isnt yours then dont touch it? I seem to be a magnet for theft no matter where I go. I lost count how many car stereos have been taken out of my rigs. This last time they took one headlight, my ashtray, a anual dunes pass and the face to my stereo. I have even had my house broken into a few times and had guns, stereos and scanners taken. I guess they felt they needed it more then me

Here in Oregon you wont find a Banshee for less than $3K no matter what year it is. My 01' cost me $3900 and it was completely stock and not in the most perfect of all shape. So from my angle id say, ya its probably worth the asking prince but try to get him down to $3K anyways. Welcome to the site and good luck

Is it just me or has Ebay been over run by retards
NugShee replied to broke's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Wow I thought that was you at first Broke but then I noticed it was an email that you had recieved. Sad thing is if you dont cater to these morons then they will just turn around and give you a negative feedback. Also brock_fuzzy_69 ya aughta try and refrain from posting when you've had a few to many or perhaps find your way to a spell checker Anyways good luck with the rest of your auctions. -
holy crap I forgot about so many of those. Wow, maybe Ill rent a few old ones this weekend. Well as far as my favorites, green mile, cocktail, and top gun are some favorites that I havent seen listed yet. Im guessing by the time we are all done listing some good movies you will have around oh say 1000 to chose from.

what Dale, Led, and Banshee said!

Do you guys know when the official release date is? I have heard everything from tomorrow up until the end of the month..... anyone know for sure?
-
is it just me or does the YFZ vibrate more then the shee. I didnt think it was all that smooth on the dunes but most of all for $7K is it really worth it? I wasnt all that impressed and definently wont be forking out that much cash for a new one for a long time.
-
I rode one for the first time yesterday on the dunes and was not impressed with it all that much. There were things that I did like about it but it wasnt as fast as I had imagined. Maybe I was just taking it a little easy since it wasnt my bike. However I did feel confortable on it right away.
-
Im not to sure if your right with that statement. I also have a cr250. I know that the 250 can beat the old XR600's and thats an awfull big diference in cc's. As far as beating a banshee, yes you can beat a banshee, even on a 125. Face it, a stock banshee really isnt that fast so if your going up against a stocker you have a pretty good chance. I agree with most of these guys though, you should probably look into getting a 250 or a 500 if you consider yourself an above average rider. Good luck with it.
