  2. I'm thinking aobut putting one on my bike during this rebuild. If I decide to do it, i will provide pics.
  3. I agree. That took some engineering to get that shit set up right for sure. I give him props, even though I don't smoke.
  4. I'm not totally sure, but I think they just bolt on over the top of your pressure plate. They should come with some mounting hardware, and you will need a modded sidecase or one of the ones built for it. - Jared
  5. I love those sites too. They've saved me a couple times from ordering the wrong size bolt/nut/anything.
  6. now now boys, lets not get all upset like a bunch of little girls. (no offense to the ladies around here) I'm at work right now so i can't be on here for very long. i will make plenty of posts later tonight. I have to finish stripping my frame down tonight when I get home, then sandblast tomarrow or thursday. PC next week. Then I will start on the new project.
  7. Thanks by the way. Too Many Toys was just a short drive away so I just zipped out his way and picked his up last night. Thanks for the interest though man, I appreciate it. - Jared
  8. Dude, go spew your crap somewhere else. No one cares. You posted junk like this in every category. We don't care.
  9. It's only $20 and you are worried about saving $5 lol
  10. OK I'm going through with it. I should have everything produced and ready to ship out by april 1. I hope. No garuntees though, but I will try my hardest to get them done by then. I wanted to give out a special thanks to "Too Many Toys" for giving me a pretty much stock bike to work on. He will be getting some hookups from my end for his help in the project. I drove out to Salt Lake City to meet him tonight and just got home. 12 hours of driving today. lol Just like work. He is a stand-up guy, really nice. I also wanted to say thanks for his hospitality while I was there, and can't wait to ride with the guy. I will post a couple pics tomarrow of the bike he is letting me work on, and some pics from what I did this weekend. - Jared
  11. ROFL man you crack my shit up NYUK. No problem, I will wear a hat for ya. - Jared I am picking up a bike tonight hopefully for this project. If all goes well I should have the CD/DVD out by the end of March. Peace everyone!
  12. ok lets not get any kinda rguments going in there or anything. Please keep it to just yay or nay for me so I can get an idea of how many actually want a copy. I'm going to go through with it and hope to have the CD / DVD made by the end of march. And as for it hitting kazaa... If I do go to the trouble of doing this, it will be copyrighted, and second... I have a degree in computer engineering and spent many years in software design/programming. I can lock it down pretty good. Yes, if people want to copy it, they will find a way, but I can make it a huge pain the ass. Especially if I go with the DVD version. It is much easier to lock down a DVD than a CD. In any case, I would hope that the people who would buy it would be honest enough to just recommend it to anyone else who wanted it and for $20 it would be pretty easy to purchase.
  13. I think you just did. This goes back to the whole what you want to do with your bike thing. Some poeple might not want oogles of power up top or want it to scream like crazy, some people need more power down low, which is why they go with different port jobs.
  14. Stock Carb Boots SOLD!
  15. paypal address is above. The cable & tors is still out in the garage.
  16. I will put a section in for all kinds of stuff. Anything I can think of that might help out the do-it-yourself'er
  17. OK, sounds like I should get started on this. All I need is a stock banshee engine (or pretty damn close to stock) and I will get started. Looks like there is a pretty good market out there for it, besides the few nay-sayers, but they probably aren't the kinda people that would use it. If I can get a stock engine/bike donated my way for like a month or so I could get all the pics and video I would need. I would prefer the entire banshee, so I could show more than just the engine tear down, stuff like rear suspension removal, etc. If anyone has a bike they would be willing to donate for a month or so and wants a free tear down/inspection pm me and we will see what we can work out. I'd like to get started on this ASAP to get everything rolling. I already have some other ideas for the disc too. PM me if anyone is close to wyoming (I would drive probably 2-300 miles to meet someone though) and lets get this going! - Jared P.S. Thanks for the replies, both positive and negative. Any feedback is useful.
  18. Rock Springs, WY where you at?
  19. I imagine i could get a hold of a stock shee. Maybe have someone donate one to me for long enough to get all the pictures/video i would need, and they would get a free rebuild out of it. I might throw some goodies in for someone with a stock shee that would be willing to let me do it. Plus a free cleaning. If i am going to do this, I will make sure everything would be totally spotless before I started working on it.
  20. The plate is the way to go. You can crank it up a little more or retard it in the fiture with the plate. You could also mod your stock one for free. I modded mine and noticed a pretty good dif. I will mod your stock one for you for free, if you just pay shipping.
  21. I would go with porting. The cub cylinders will give you a huge gain, but there is a LOT more expensive involved than just the cylinders. I am already into mine a good $1500 and still have a good 1-2k worth of parts to order just to get it running again. Then I have the other 1.5k worth of non-essential stuff I'm doing. Porting is def. the way to go. Keep in mind though that to really wake up a good port you will need some bigger carbs, and the V3's and an aftermarket head. Yes you will notice a big gain with just the porting, but to get the full potential of it, you should go with bigger carbs at least.
  22. Here's a beer on me! Happy Birthday Man!
  23. If someone wants your bike they will get it. Plain and simple. I have a pair of 5ft long bolt cutters that would go through that like it wasn't even there. Give a theif 1 min and the right tools and they will be walking off with whatever they want. Every little bit helps with slowing them down though. You got any dogs? A dog is one of the best deterrants of theft out there. Even a simple bark will spook a lot of rookie theives away. A 9mm or the cocking sound of a pump-action will generally get the rest of them.
  24. Look at me, I'm fast! Woopdy Doo! Running around on city streets is just a good way to give the ATV industry a bad name. Knock that crap off and go spend the money you would normally spend on a ticket and buy a truck and drive to a legal riding area. Moron.
  25. I'm such a post whore, I will be there in no time.
