I'm finally ready to get rid of this beast. It's a 97, Black and Yellow plastics, with the following mods: Trinity 420cc Kit Trinity Stage IV porting Trinity Stage IV Cool head, with 20cc domes FMF fatty gold series full exhuast V-Force 2 Reeds Trinity Stage IV C.V. single carb manifold Full PRM skid plates Factory 909 Bars 5.6 gallon gas tank RS 200w Stator w/ adjustable timing plate New RS coil and wires SpiderTrak on the rear, with unknown aftermarket rims aftermarket front tires and rims It also however, has the following problems: Scratched Plastics, front ferring has a crack Cracked headlight plastic Header pipes are rusted Low compression, suspect domes 1 Stud requires re-threading I'm taking offers, PM or AIM me at TitaniumULTD Thank you
-
...Your tranny oil? Educate me (honestly, i'm not being a jackass) as to why lack of tranny oil would seize and kill your compression
-
Are you sure the marks are from debris? They could be pot marks from detonation.

Buying Carbon Fiber parts from me I'm slowing working on replacing metal parts on mine with CF... CF = 1/8 the weight of carbon steel, and 3x as strong per unit So an 8lb peice of steel on the shee would weigh 1lb and be much, much stronger

^ It involves taking the Top off the carb and chopping the spring...do a search -
Thank you, getting it heli-coiled today.

New Developements... I beleive that i have compression going into the coolant system...as it builds up pressure after a few kicks and...when i have the rad cap off, it bubbles every time i kick it over
-
Why is it that no one ever has an answer to my questions? *Bump*
-
Could Be, i'll try that next time... I'm also going to get new plugs and re-adjust the pickup coil gap today could my reeds on the one side be messed up or something?
-
So I took it apart and jazz...Here's the Story Bad Radiator Cap = Ran out of coolant = Not good. Low Compression on one side (don't know which) New stator, but started firing weak on the right side, combusted maybe 1/5 times -------------------- Replaced Radiator Cap Replaced Coil, Caps and Wires Re-Seated and gasketed head, trinity o-rings and RTV 3 studs pulled out of block, one caused small coolant leak re-studed the leaky one, torqued all but the 2 loose ones Had to Pull-Start it, when it did the left side (where the 2 loose studs are) fired fine, right side still not combusting 100% one stud with non-sheathed non-acorn nut leaks coolant out the top of the nut, loose stud next to it leaks out the bottom. the loose one IS a sheathed acorn nut. Also, when the Right side does fire, it sounds louder and more distinctive (almost like a ping) but that may just be only hearing One fire every once in a while. Also, I plan on re-threading the studs tomorrow, If they will thread. Questions... What would be causing this odd firing? I'm assuming it is a spark problem as the head was JUST re-seated and it's obviously getting fuel, but the coil, caps and wires are new. What is the best option for tapping the cylinders, if this needs to be done? Will RTV seal the nuts? Thank you!

Need one, mines blown and don't wanna pay $40 for one at the stealer
-
Well PayPal just F***'ed me over. SOOOOO I'm going to fix it!!!! wOOOT... But I NEED everyone's help! the problems are listed above...I plan on tearing the WHOLE thing apart and sanding/Painting/oiling etc. everything on it, and so i'll likely end up posting more issues as it goes on. THanks all, please help me.

will do, i have part of it apart, and i'm taking pictures as stuff comes off, and i'll post the interesting stuff as it comes
-
$300 on top of a bunch already spent I guess i'm one of those losers that isn't ready to have it under the wrench all the time. There is MORE wrong with it, this is just the stuff I know of right now (the cylinder tops are scratched, the water jackets were tapped into, the bearings are going, etc.)
-
Lol sorry man, I've decided to part it out on E-Bay, so watch for lots of parts from a 97 on there The problems? Cyl #1 : 30 PSI low on compression Cyl #2 : Irregular Spark Coolant: Filled with oil (broken oil seal) Radiator: Cap is bad and leaks Water Pump : Not flowing any water Carb : Constantly pouring out gas from bowl overflow (methinks the chopped slide spring not long enough to hold it down, so i'll be stretching it when I take it off) Anyway I figured out why the compression was bad...the O-Ring on that cylinder hadn't been seated properly when tightened down. The spark was most likely from the coil wires, this was supposed to be replaced but i just replaced the stator.
-
I'm assuming flush it with some water... I'm pretty sure a little bit of water isn't going to upset the ice.
-
I beleive the exact same thing happened on mine Does yours fire more when your in a certain RPM range? My left cylinder would fire consistently, but the right one would only fire every once in awhile, but when i reved it, the right cylinder would start firing good for a few seconds, then as I passed the band it would go out, then farther up it would start sparking again Something tells me CDI or Coil
