well. just when i got started on the banshee i get an el camino. 1980. and please dont bash me but its a 229 v6. i plan on dropping something huge into it in around 6 years when im "financially secure". anyways. ill be putting new pistons in the banshee and then its going back together and then all my money wil be going into the el camino to restore it. got it for 3k. the engine and transmission is very strong, a little dirty though. its a 4 speed manual and its got flowmasters and an air suspension. no rust. its got some scratches, the paint is fading, and the trim is starting to fall off in some places. the interior is in pretty good shape. just some small tears in the dash and one on the seat. so mostly it needs cosmetic restoration. i love it though. its LOUD and i love it. ill post some pics later on. just wanted to share.

if you use firefox and type about:config in the browser then look for browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs double click it to toggle it to "true" next look for network.http.pipelining double click that so it toggles to "true" then look for network.http.pipelining.maxrequests double click that and change the 4 to 100. close firefox and open it back up and you should see an increase in speed.

is the engine out of the frame? i blasted some crc engine brite over it and hosed it off while it was in the frame it its wayy better. if you have the engine out of the frame, some time, a bunch of good brushes and shop rags, and some crc engine brite youll be able to get it super clean.

and why do you wanna run alcohol? are you strictly dragging? usually only draggers are gonna run alky. not a good idea if you do anything besides dragging.

the paint might have filled the vin up.

i really like the tacomas too. ive been looking at a couple. they look like fun trucks.

what have you done to the engine. you have to convert your carbs to alcohol. but it doesnt make a whole lot of sense if you dont have the right engine.

thats what i was thinking. an s10 or a sonoma or something like that. i just wanted to see if anyone knew what problems the smaller trucks had or which ones were best for offroading stock and things like that. i know tacomas have beefy ass axles stock. im trying to decide whether or not i want something lifted that i can take off roading or something lower to the ground and bling bling. thats how my truck was and the ladies liked it. i dunno if theyd feel the same about a truck with mud and scratches all over it.

My truck is totaled and im looking at getting something else. i want something i can take off roading. looking for something smaller that will get great gas mileage. but ive also gotta be able to cram 2 or 3 kids in it. the banshee with the +2 arms has to fit in the bed too of course. from 3k-6k. any suggestions?

watched the whole thing. pretty crazy. dunno what to think. really does make you think.
