  1. I am selling my banshee. Below is a link to the bike. If you buy it today (September 12, 2007) I'll let it go for $5100. Only valid today then it goes back to $5400. YAMAHA BANSHEE
  2. Still For Sale: I posted some more pictures: Banshee Pictures
  3. I am picking up a turn key rail. I don't really want to have to try to part it out since it is a great quad and is about the best duning quad I ever rode.
  4. I really need to sell this bike ASAP, will take decent offers. I just can't go below $5500. Any takers at $5500? and its yours.
  5. No one interested? I am somewhat flexible on the price. It will also be at Sand Mountain Nevada this weekend if anyone is interested or is going.
  6. Asking $6500 OBO. Couldn't change it in the original post for some reason.
  7. I am selling my 2003 Yamaha Banshee. Below is a list of mods that it has. The bike is in excellent shape. 72mm bore cylinders with Powevalves +4mm Crank (making it 472cc) Dune Port Shearer Inframes Vforce3 Reeds Dyna Ignition with custom maps (dune, drag, mix, and stock) PWK 35mm Keihin Carbs K&N's with outerwears Twist Throttle Stock Wheels and Tires ITP C-Series rims with mohawk fronts and 22x11x10 8 Paddle Haulers +4" Swingarm Currently I have it geared with a 12/43 setup, and it will run 66mph up the face of Sand Mountain in Nevada, in 5th gear. I have it set up more for duning than dragging but it is very capable of being a full drag bike. I still have the stock swingarm as well if you so desire to put it on. The bike is very fast and the only reason I am selling it is because I am buying a sandrail I am asking $7000 OBO. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
  8. Still for sale asking $150 shipped
  9. I am selling a set of 22x11x10 10 paddle hauler extremes, tires only. I am keeping the rims for a different set. They have only been used on two trips, are in great shape. I am asking $175 shipped. If you are interested please pm me. Or email me at [email protected]
  10. Will be there all day Saturday. Anyone else heading there? We will be in a grey dodge, with a white enclosed trailer. 3 banshees and a yfz450. One is 03 LE black and yellow, with 472 cheetah One is 02 Blue, 421 cub One is 03 black and red, with 350 cub Come by and say hi.
  11. When I re gapped my plugs I did replace them. I went through two new sets to make sure, and it did it with both sets. I won't be able to make it on those dates. It will probably be a few weeks before I can make it back to the sand.
  12. I'll give the stator and coil a shot.
  13. I am not sure of the compression at the moment. I had the plugs gapped at 0.032 and dropped to 0.020 with no change. So its not the gap in the plugs. Also it only runs bad after it has been running for about 30 mins, not when I first fire it up.
  14. For the gap, I was told that by Harry at Trinity racing. He said that they needed that gap for the high compression. I don't know why it would be the caps. Since it runs great for the first 30 mins, and even when it starts acting up my plugs are still tan.
  15. Please bear with me on this post, and read through it all, being I will try to explain what it does and what ive tried to fix it, with no luck. I have a 2003 LE banshee, PV cheetah 472, with 35pwk's, CEL needles, v-force 3 reeds, k&n filters, with a timing of +4 degrees. I just got back from a 2 week vacation at the Idaho dunes, elevation 5000ft. And I couldnt figure out what was wrong with my banshee. The engine had aobut 10-15 hours on it before I took it there. Basically the bansee is scary fast until you ride for about 30-45 mins. Then it will begin to get a stutter, or "flat" spot right before the pipe hits hard. the longer I ride it the worse it will get almost to the point that it won't even rev out onto the pipe. I have almost given up working on it trying to figure it out. So I am turning to you guys. Below is a list of what I have done to it, trying to figure it out. First off I gapped the plugs to 0.020 as directed by Trinity. Original was 0.032. No Change. I started with 45 pilots, 3rd clip on needle, and 152 mains. Too rich IMO. Spit oil out of pipes. So I dropped to what trinity suggested a 140, left the clip, dropped pilot to 42. Too lean on top. I kept the 42 pilot, kept the 3rd clip, went to 148. Ran good, still smoked on bottom end. then I dropped to a 38 pilot, kept the rest the same. Still smoked on bottom end. Dropped to a 35 pilot, kept the others the same. Seemed better, good enough to live with. yet remember after doing all of these I would run another 30mins and the mid would do the same thing. So I kept on it: I raised the clip, dropped the needle. too lean on top. next I left the clip on 2nd, and put 155mains in. Still too lean, and still acted up in 30 mins. Went to 4th clip, dropped to 148 mains, still that problem. I cleaned my air filters, for a 2nd time to be safe, no luck. I even ordered CGL needles, even leaner than the CEL. Tried 3 clip settings, still no luck. So as you can see I went every way I could with the jetting with no luck. If you guys have any suggestions on what it may be, I would really appreciate it. I won't get a chance to ride it for a little while, but would like some good information. I am thinking maybe something in the ignition, but don't want to spend the money if I don't have to.
  16. I have a 472 cheetah. It runs awesome. They have more low end then you can imagine. My cousin has a 421 cheetah cub. We have the same tires, weigh close to the same, same swingarms. Basically everything is the same including the shearer pipes except I have the PV 472 and he has the 421 cub. With the same gearing, up the face of Sand Mountain, NV I can run 5th gear where he pulls 4th gear. The main reason for it is I have the low end for it to pull up into the powerband for 5th where he is lacking. They are two different bikes. If you want an all or nothing bike, go with the cub. But if you want a smooth powerband that pulls hard from bottom to top go with the PV Cheetah. I had mine done at Trinity Racing. I know a lot of people won't deal with them, and was leary to do it. However they had a nice turn around time, always answered my questions and were easy to deal with. When the throttle cable was different they had no problem sending the right one out next day. They gave me a close place to start on my jetting. So if you want to ride trails then I would get the powervalve
  17. My cousins banshee was only piped with T-5's, two twin air filters and some 8 paddle sand sharks. His gearing was 13/42 and he could buzz to the top in 3rd all day long
  18. So you dropped the single pwk huh? How do you like the two 38's?
  19. Did you get the gearing you liked dialed in? Just wondering what gearing you ended up going with.
  20. I guess I lucked out, because my filters rest on the frame, so its not really any added weight to the carbs.
