  1. I am just wondering what someone actually does when they weld and true a crank? Also why is it a good idea to get it done after you port the engine? Any info is appreciated. Also how can you remove the crank, do you have to split the case? The reason I ask is because it isn't too expensive to weld and true the crank, but it is to assemble and disassemble the engine. I am just wondering how much it would cost in the long run to weld and true the crank? Thanks.
  2. I am going to try out my new haulers this weekend, do you guys think they will hook up good, and not rob power at the top? They are: 20x10x10 9 paddle haulers. I have toomey t6 pipes, uni filter, vents, 280 main, stock needle and pilot, and coolhead with 22cc domes. What's your guy's opinions?
  3. I thought it over, and decided that I will just get my cylinders ported. I figured in the long run it is cheaper for me to do it that way, because I am still on the stock bore, so saving $150 isnt too much considering I still have bores to go. sorry to keep you waiting.
  4. I am interested. Can you wait till after August 9th? I have a trip planned to sand mountain, so I want to make sure my shee is running for it.
  5. I was wondering if you would be interested in having the work done for me at adrenaline. If you keep the receipts I would pay you for the work done. I am not good at knowing what needs to be done, so it would be a little difficult for me to have the work done. On my cylindars I am not positive that they are on the stock bore, because before I bought it the top end was rebuilt. So I am not positive, so if you are interested we can always try something.
  6. I am interested, however I am going to sand mountain in 2 weeks. So if you want to hold off till then you can. If not and you find someone else to trade then you can. Otherwise when I get back we can work and making a deal.
  7. I am interested, but I am curious have you had it bored over yet? Also I know that one cylindar is bad so I would have to have it bored, where can I go to get that done, and which pistons would I have to get? Details are needed.
  8. yea it is 20-22 ft lbs. no more than that.
  9. I know a guy that has a ported banshee stock stroke, etc. He wants to trade me straight across for my stock cylindars so he can put a stroker crank, and a 4mm rod in it. He said I would need to bore it a bit and get new cylindars because he ran it too lean. He got it ported from a guy in Sacramento, CA so I don't know much about the port. He rides the dunes a lot, which I want to do. And if anyone has been to Sand Mountain, NV he says he can climb it at 50mph. What do you guys think, is that fairly quick? And is it worth it? Because I know the boring and the new cylinders cost some money. Any advice is good.
  10. btw i have the tr-6 toomeys
  11. definetly stick with the stock needls, i put on 4th clip, because i feel it can use the fuel versus the 3rd clip. The toomey needle is crap. I run a 280 main, which works pretty good, lots of top end, and wot plug test is a hair black to dark tan. So it is a touch rich but way better than being lean.
  12. I dont believe someone can get that many tickets for that warrior. I would have fought a lot of them. The windshield, turn signals, headlights, and tailight are all avoidable because it is a OHV which those are not needed. So the only ticket he could have got was unlicensed for highway use. Also the speeding, you can fight by bringing in specs of top speed of the quad. The same with speedo you can get out of since it is a ohv. I do believe you can get the helmet, reckless driving, and even evading an officer.
  13. do you have a coolhead, if so, which domes and how much?
  14. The tors is easy to remove with the motion pro kit. However it takes a little work to put the idle screw in since you have to drill a hole in the carb and tap it for the screw. IF you haven't ever tapped before I wouldnt suggest it because with alluminum you get one shot. if you mess the threads up you have to buy new carbs.
  15. I installed the t6 kit. I would suggest not changing the needle. I changed it with the toomey needle, and had not bottom or mid hit. I changed them to the stock needles on 4th clip and runs like a raped ape. What they mean by the spring is when you remove the slide from the carb (unscrewing the cap and pulling it out). Then you have to pull the spring back to release a little brass clip that holds the slide on the cable. It is easy to remove the slide. It is a little tricky putting it back together. You do have to compress the spring with your hand re connect the slide and drop the clip back in. Its not bad if you can hold it right. Or you can use something to hold the spring down like a wire tie, or a twist tie. If you use the stock needle you will have to re adjust your pilot screw, and trust me it runs way better with a stock needle then the "toomey needle". Let me know if you have any other questions.
  16. if it is new in package with all needed hardware I'll take it. I'm in Yuba City, CA. How do you want to do payments?
  17. I sent the money for the carbs with motion pro twist throttle, let me know when you send them out.
  18. is it a twist throttle, or thumb? and does it have the idle screws?
  19. I AM INTERESTED, I LIVE IN YUBA CITY , CA. IF NEW WITH ALL NEEDED HARDWARE, ETC. I'LL TAKE IT.
  20. how much for the stock carbs with twist throttle?
  21. Mine lined up no problem. But you need to leave everything loose until all the bolts are in place. Because if you tighten any part of it, you dont get the movement needed to line up. Especially leave the front rubber mounts loose, because then need to move to get everything in place.
  22. I am interested in the trail tech lazer lights. Are they the ones that go in the stock location? Also would you be interested in selling the coolhead? And if so how much?
  23. I was wondering about how long a banshee will last before the top end needs to be rebuilt? I have a 2001 with a fresh top end. But I was wondering how long till I would have to do it again? I only ride it about 2 times a month. I don't ride too hard except when I am in the sand. Let me know, so I know how long I can expect. Thanks.
  24. Actually there were never any real reports of not making it anymore but with the "new" emission laws the banhsee cannot pass them. Why do you think a lot of jet skis arent sold now, its because they won't pass emissions. So you wait and see, 07 would be the very last year, if they have any left over from 06.
