  1. A couple points to help make my point: 1.) Compare diesel automobile registration from 15 years ago to current figures in North America. I bet you will find that it has risen by about 1100% (no kidding). This is way outside of the rate of increase in general automobiles on the road as well. 2.) Look at the LeMans race series, compare the diesel entrants and winners from 10 years ago until now. I bet you'll be surprised what you find. With that said, for all of you that doubt my engineering crystal ball's ability's (with respect to TRD in NASCAR), look at what the TRD boys did in Daytona today. Fucking awesome! I am very proud of those guys.
  2. An expeienced machinist can do the work without any trouble.
  3. Yeah, but it is not authentic as it is written in english.
  4. I am not sure there would be a performance gain beyond a certain point. Obviously the engine speed would need to be adjusted for the diesel combustion cycle which mean torque would go up and horsepower would go down. Mostly, the diesel thing is just something fun to do........ :geek:
  5. My magic engineering crystal ball says that's exactly what you will see.
  6. I had some dome fitment issues with the head I bought from those guys, to the point I sent it back and let them keep it. As it turns out, some of their early heads had some anodizing related tolerance issues, but that has supposedly been fixed. Their chrome heads still don't work correctly when it comes to this issue, but they know about it and I gueess they are try to fix it. However, they are still selling the chrome heads which makes you scratch your head a bit. :geek:
  7. I know you have the resources to do porting on your own.............. :geek:
  8. With Hinson, you pay for American manufacturing and better heat and surface treatment. I don't know much about the Magnum baskets though.............
  9. Nah, you just need a compression release mechanism on one cylinder and some sort of good cylinder preheat system. :geek:
  10. http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZfirehead696969 Here is some more stuff I am selling.
  11. I am going to buy a set of Harkor hubs and get some different caps made.
  12. Haha............you said stiff.
  13. Ok, it can have a turbo............... it doesn't really matter, as you will need to make a custom cam for the fuel pump anyway. :geek:
  14. Dude with 32 posts to his credit offering a negative opinion = dumbest person ever.
  15. The Janssen hubs are made by Hradkor and Baldwin does not mate a set for a Banshee.
  16. 6061, 7075, or 2024, will be fine. Since you have access to all manual machines, I will make sure I take it easy on the compound curves when I design the caps.
  17. PM sent.
  18. Nah, you wouldn't need to oil the bearings, you can mix two stroke oil with diesel fuel........... :geek:
  19. A mouse and keyboard are pretty tricky to use. Good job.
  20. replacement word = unicorn
  21. 20 ft. lbs.
