  1. hell the dealership i used to work for would drop ship anything anywhere. takes a lil longer, but in a foreign country thats to be expected.
  2. i took my nissan hardbody with a 2.4L on the dunes in oklahoma. at first we were driving in 4HI, but moved to 2HI when it was apparent we werent gonna get stuck. i think we were cruising along at like 40ish miles per hour, liquid courage. haha, didnt even air down the tires (goodyear MTR's). with a quad in the abck it would be a lil different though. like wallrat said, speed is KEY when going uphill.
  3. Im away from my shee right now and was wondering if someone could take a few measurements for me, shouldnt be anything too difficult. Id like to know: the distance between the lower arm pivots, both inner and outer. the length of the pivot tube on the upper arm. OA length of both arms the OD of a yfz450 coil spring and lastly where the shock is located on the lower arm. I think with all of these numbers I can model a set of a-arms, meant for yfz 450 shocks, in CAD. then maybe host it for people to view and critique.
  4. LOOKS LIKE A TYPICAL CONVERSATON BETWEEN ME AND MY GIRLFRIENDM, HAHAHA whoops, damn CAD
  5. ahhh, i see. ya, h/c is coming along nicely. if we dont place im gonna burn something down, thinking alumni center?
  6. the longest on you can get. sundahl frame with x-over arms uses a custom Works shocks. dont know what they cost to make, but they allow 16" of travel. rx7500hpt2 is using basic elka 19"ers and his setup cycles 17", but both use custom spindles.
  7. oh fuck yes, im a kappa sig u?
  8. its material thickness. .190 ~3/16ths while .250 is 1/4"
  9. YUP, its true, i live in stilly. Id go ride with you, but the only bike i have in stilly is my pitbike. Hit me up with a PM if youre interested.
  10. that temp rating means it has to hold the pressure rating at that temp. so, heat isnt really a factor here since the temp isnt high enough to melt it, and the pressure isnt high enough to burst it. EDIT: i just saw your post, and i remember some triple digit pressures on the hose i used. maybe you shouldnt be using the plastic, but instead the PVC. EDIT 2.0 the pressure rating on .750" ID PVC braided hose is 150psi.
  11. led replaced his with carbon fiber on his old ladie's 400ex. or maybe put safety info between two pieces of lexan, seriously. like your phone number and name or something along those lines in case you get hurt. not a good thing to think about, but its deffinately a reality.
  12. shit, im still playing nintendo 64. because Goldeneye is the best multiplayer console, there ever has been, and ever will be. except maybe duck hunt.
  13. a topend job one a new fourstroke will set you back four digits, easily.
  14. i think there is a kill tether on those quads somewhere, make sure that is in working condition. check the kill switch, sounds stupid i know but it happens. and i have replaced a stator on a scrambler 90 before, so it does happen. BTW, they are a PITA to do.
  15. racer

    springs

back off the preload alllll the way. then squeeze out the coil hats from between the retainer on the bottom of the shock shaft and the spring. its real easy to do.
  16. roll design if you have the money. quicksands are cheaper, but i dont know the difference. both are TIG'd 4130.
  17. +2+1 arms with the best shocks you can afford. longtravel is a deep subject. search this forum for a thorough explanation.
  18. a hammer. i dunno, maybe 10 bucks? if you could go to a bolt house it would probably be cheaer.
  19. was harder than three bitches in a bitch boat to get out. ended up hammering the shit out of it and bought a new one.
  20. ahhh, so google is taking over the world.
  21. if there is nothing between the foam support wire mesh and the intake snorkle then it has already been removed. The piece you are looking for is black plastics with 4 ~.250" holes drilled in it. It should be in the airbox, and if you cant look through the intake tract and see the carb slide you dont have it far enough apart. Like I said above, you arent going to ruin anything in there unless you break out the BFH, so dont be afraid to prod a little.
  22. But that doesnt mean anything to him. Since you posted those pics here anyone with the internet can say the same thing.
