hey meat and matt, check out this bender i found. http://www.medfordtools.com/benders/ thats pretty cheap for a fully adjustable bender with a degree wheel also. some one want to contribute to cole's bender fund?
damn it, now ill have to look into it more closely at work. maybe the test dude just said he hit 160 in third and i misunderstood it to be at 7000 rpm.
BTW brad, the guys do those runs on 36th street. the small one just behind the shop.
we sold a new R-1 yesterday. and before it leaves the dealer it has to be tested in the first three gears at both 3000 and 7000 RPM for a short duration. third at 7000 is 160 on the speedo. thats spankin fast to have some revsd and three gears left.
maybe im retarded rod, but that doesnt seem like mucha of a cam to me. anyways, whats the best overall position to have it setup in. mine is currently just screwed in there because i thought it was round.
yes duece they do, but i dont know about it avilability for the banshee. however since it is a one-off frame, im sure you could rig something up using 450 or 250r geometry. oh the possibilites of custom fabrication.
there is no gasket between the cases, not a printed one at least. the shop should have used whats called yamabond-4, its a liquid gasket maker. and it works great.
it should. you dont use a compressor to run the shifter so other than the solenoid i dont see there being any huge electrical current draws.
not sure about a tach.
sorry stan, i dont have anything like that. the only reason i know this is because a guy at work did a road test on one for some research and he found it out first hand.
