  1. Yep, you pretty much hit the whore in the hole on that one.
  2. Seems as though you'd be best off making a woods/MX machine with say 60-70 HP so that you can still drag. Get the -2 swinger +1 forward arms and you'll learn to keep the front down so that you can drag most other bikes. The only thing that would beat you is a faster Shee. I'm not seeing a +4 swinger on trails as being fun at all.
  3. That's cool, I made it for the HQ so it can be used by the HQ.
  4. Loco it's not like you to half ass it so what's the deal with this half naked talk?
  5. That pretty well makes the list right there. I've got the quicksand arms and swinger and am very satisfied. I ride farm type stuff lots of dirt, mud and sand I have had zero problems with my heims. I had a hard decision between Janssen and Quicksand when I bought mine and I think I could have gone either way with them but Quicksand edged out Janssen on price and Janssen was very difficult for me to get ahold of.
  6. I took the time to re-read Gary's post and not one time did he say anything about Quicksand. I don't see anywhere in there where he gave the address or phone number for his business either. Most people would not have known who that was. He did tell somebody to give him a call so he could help them out and that's it I see nothing drumming up business.
  7. Mine needed bearings, rods and welded.
  8. If your such a good welder and you needed arms you should have made them youself. You come on here with your 5 posts and talk about somebody who has sold suspension parts to many guys on here and I haven't heard one bad thing about them. I have a full Quicksand setup now and everytime I look at the product I'm very impressed, I work daily with weldments and have taken classes at Lincoln electric on weld quality his stuff is top notch. As I said before many people had lot's of problems with ugly arms and others have had problems with full flight. I respect the opinion of builders on the HQ as do many others wether it be Jim @ passion, Dan @ patriot, Jeff @ fast, Gary @ Quicksand they've earned the right to say what ever they wanted and especially when somebody is trying to help others in terms of money or safety there's nothing wrong with it. That's the great thing about the HQ if a business comes on and sells junk people will know and hopefully others won't have the same problem. I'm glad you like your arms that's great and hopefully you won't break them landing an 80' double. I posted the link to the review because I felt people should know there were problems if they have been fixed that's great but others who are considering them should atleast know there were problems in the past. When I bought my arms I considered Roll, Janssen, Quicksand, Denton, Lonestar and some others I looked at price, satisfaction and options Quicksand got my order.
  9. That's why I said a Honda, those segways are way too dangerous.
  10. It was gonna cost me $375 to rebuild my stock crank and it was only $425 for my brand new welded Hotrods crank.
  11. Gary was simply trying to keep us safe. Notice he was a member here long before he posted that. If you were here and heard all the problems with the ugly arms made by the same guy you'd understand. Gary didn't want anybody going out and getting hurt and I would hope all companies would do the same. There's other posts about how they are junk from people who bought them so I hardly think it's just word of mouth. Also Gary has some of the best welds I have ever seen and stands behind his products.
  12. What ever trips your trigger. But I wouldn't buy a product from a company that keeps changing their name, you see how that warranty treats you next time they change their legal identity.
  13. You'll have the most important thing...Watching your son tear shit up on a banshee someday. if it's light duty you should be able to ride a honda right?
  14. The easiest way to loosen it is on the ground with everything on it and have someone hold the brake. I just took mine off the other day without wheels and with the chain master link out. What i did was I wrapped the chain around the front sprocket and then also around the rear sproket and put a punch (any rod will work) through one of the holes on the sprocket through to the brake. The punch will lock the sprocket and brake against the swinger and the chain will hold the sprockets from turning and with some force or an impact you should be able to loosen the nut.
  15. Keep safe and have fun
  16. That looks alot better the other day there wasn't anything there.
  17. I hope they can save it for you, if they do does that mean you can ride again? Or are you completely done? I work with a lot of people missing fingers, arms, legs... because of the oil industry and I always think that if that happened to me I wouldn't be able to ride. I wish you luck and hope everything works out.
  18. Yeah, I ran Pro E for a summer and I'm sure I could still crank that out in an hour if I had a swinger and some measurement tools infront of me.
  19. 12 hours??? I'd be pissed if it took my drafters 12 hours tell me you meant 1-2 tops?
  20. Why would they send you a 230 main? Did you get this new or used?
  21. I went in and bought a couple of bottles of yamaha 2-stroke oil and the girl behind the counter asked if I needed an oil filter.
  22. That picture always sums up the quality
  23. Looks pretty plain to me?
