yeah, i am dealing on it right now. looks like i will pick it up on saturday. 5,650.00 out the door. not too bad of a deal right there. As far as the pink wire mod goes, i will ride it forawhile before i decide to do that or not. Did you get the jet kit, or just buy the jets that you needed? I have heard that they are jetted pretty lean from the factory. im buying mine in phoenix and they are about 1,000 feet lower than i am in tucson. I cant wait. I have not owned a dirt bike since my old CR250R back in high school. I love quads, but bikes are just a totally differant riding experience. I will post pics when i pick her up!

So what did you do to it? Pink wire mod, rejet? Baffle removed. open up the airbox, aftermarket filter... im going thru the forums on thumpertalk and CRFsonly trying to get all my info together.

Basically how do you like the bike. I'm an aircraft maintainer by trade so normal maint. will not be a problem. just wanted the opinion of a few people on how they liked their Xs.

well i have come across a brand new 05 CRF450X for 4,999 bucks. not selling the shee. I want to take this bike and make a street legal Super Moto bike. Street tires and all that stuff. So does any one have a 450X or have ridden one. I rode a 450R a year go and was very impressed. just looking for some info. thanks

how does rocking your bike "atomize" the fuel??

Im an Aircraft maintainer in the USAF and you would be surprised as to some of the shit pilots write up. Those are pretty good though. another good one for maintainers is the classic: Replaced control stick actuator---always good when the pilots write stupid shit up in the aircraft forms.

For sand and your mods i would go with a +4. as far as trail riding goes, you could probably get away with it, but you will be pretty long as well as wide with your front end. I have a +4 swinger with +2+1 A Arms up front, and I ride the desert and Dunes and it does really well. Light years better than stock. as far as your chain goes, buy a long chain see what you need. I think i bought a 120 link chain for my setup and removed 4 links if i remember correctly.

I bought a 51" Toshiba rear projection HDTV last year on the superbowl. I love it, i get all my local Chanels in HD with a simple antenna. More and more programming is coming out in HD and with the cable and satelite providers moving towards HD, having a tv that makes full use of the programming is a must have! My brother in law has a Mitsu that is 3 years old.....it breaks all the time. The convergance chip is always the culprit.

Im Active Duty US Air Force. Currently over in kuwait (for another 27 days) I am a Flying Crew Chief on EC-130H Compass Call aircraft. We basically maintain the entire aircraft with the help of a few specialists. Not a bad job.

The taper on the slide is supposed to face the rear of the bike. I think you have a combination of poor jetting and out of sync carbs. once you get the TORS eliminator kit installed it will be much easier to tune the carbs correctly. once you get it all back together run it the way you have it set up and see how she rides. if its still running better in the mid range with choke out, raise the needle a clip (move clip toward sharp end) if its running better with choke at the top then you will need to get bigger mains. good luck. its all trial and error. if you get her running in the ball park do a plug chop to make sure your mains are on. the rest is just feeling what the bike is doing.

The only reason that gary said anything bad about Full Flight (Ugly) is because he personally had seen a few sets that had horrible welds. He concluded that they were a safety concerne to the people on this board. Gary builds banshee stuff because he is a rider. He produces a very high quality product and stands behind it 100%. Thats more than alot of people can say. He is most certainly not bashing another product to sell parts. He has more than enough work to keep him busy. I personally know gary and have spent alot of time with him in his shop and in the dunes. He is one of the most stand up guys I have ever met. I respect him as a machinist and as a person....
