born and raised in MO and have NEVER eaten there...I feel un-Missourian. sounds like we need to have a "banshee-day" at St. Joe State Park... -

OK...quick little history before I get started. My first and only four wheeler I have ever had was a bored out, race ready Tecate 4. Crazy fast bike. Used to DESTROY my cousin who had a stock 'shee. I have rode many bikes in the past, 'shees, 250r's, EX's, etc...never was overly excited about the banshee but liked it better than most. Recently wanted to get rid of my crotch rocket (pulled over doing 145 in jeans, tennis shoes and t-shirt...STUPID!) and had a friend who wanted to buy it. I offered to trade him for his 'shee cuz my Tecate 4 was in dire need of a total rebuild...I did, and now I have his 'shee. OK bike, but never made me "hang on for dear life" sorta ride... Fast forward to today....... Yesterday, my Toomey T5 set comes in with the perfect jet kit and filter. I spend yesterday and today swapping exhaust, cleaning and rejetting carbs and installing TORS removal and a twist throttle (which I also have on my Tecate). Get everything done, adjust idle and load up to go for a quick ride with my brother ('02 shee with FMF Fatties and K&N clamp ons) and my buddy (stock '02 'shee). Get to the riding spot and ..... HOLY SHIT!!! A definite hang on for dear life ride. This thing is AWESOME! My hats off to the 'shees...VERY VERY impressive bike. I am a VERY VERY proud 'shee owner now. Big up PROPS to the 'shee!

I don't have immediate access to my 'shee but am needing a size on the "YAMAHA" graphics on the sides and on the front so I can have my vinyl guy cut me new ones. I am supposed to pick them up today and gotta get him the font size to use. Anyone have easy access to their 'shee to grab the size for me? Thanks in advance...

I call BS...I have seen little kids on many many message boards before talk about how rich their parents are...all kids think their parents are loaded... a 'vette? BFD you can buy an 80's or 90's vette for $5k all of the trucks...once again, BFD. i have friends that have tons of trucks and they are far from rich. hell, my buddy that i ride with (owns an 02 'shee) has a chevy zr1, 70 chevelle SS, TT Stealth, street bike plus his wife's family car. he's far from wealthy...whoopdy doo... im on two 3000gt/stealth boards and you get to see bitch little kids talk about all the money their parents make and you meet them at a car show to find out their parents drive a caravan and the kid is driving a beat up stealth that was wrecked. hell, my 8 year old thinks i have so much money it's not even funny just cuz he got a motorcycle for his 6th birthday (pw50)... once again, i call BS on the kid...show pics of YOU standing next to the "fleet" of cars described and it will be believable...

not denying the looks...they do look great the front end looked even better as it kept getting smaller the guy pulled me over a few exits down the road and we talked for an hour or so...he oggled over my car as I oggled over his...only mods he had was BPU and flywheel all that aside, looks doesn't mean it has me beat...looks are subjective. me personally, I like both. all the mods in the world on both cars, an AWD car is gonna get a better launch as long as both are using the same types of tires (race slicks vs. street tires). so I don't take your reply as a diss...just a subjective opinion which is kewl...

go with a twin turbo stealth or VR4. you get AWD and with intake and exhaust, you can beat most cars you pull up against...boost controller and few things will touch you at all on a launch. nothing launches like an AWD twin turbo car I raced a TT Supra a couple of weekends ago...I had no problems running with that car...

Grease it before you put the bike together, it can be kinda tight to fit the grease gun in there after it's all assembled... Also, keep in mind that each hole is one inch apart but equals twice that in drop. in other words, each hole is another two inches in drop...you could slam your 'shee to the ground if you chose to do so with these...
-
i flipped mine on stock wheels and gained about 1.5-2.5 inches in width. my buddy with stock wheels in stock configuration sitting side by side and you can tell a difference. the fronts is a HUGE difference...

Who Does The Best Porting, For The $$$
stealthawd replied to PhillipSpearman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
i am considering getting mine ported... a local shop will do mine for $300.00...he does all kinds of drag bikes... are there any downsides to porting?
