one more opinion if Bush wants gays to stop having sex, then legalize gay marriage...as any married guy knows, once you say I do and the rings are exchanged, the sex stops.

I am against gay marriage just because IMHO, marriage is a religious bond and sanctity and it is coming together in God's eyes. Bill and Steve should not come together in God's eyes as it is an abomination of God and stated specifically as wrong in the Bible. If you do not believe in religion, God or the Bible, then by all means do what you please. Just hope that you are right. You have a 50/50 chance to be right. Me, I would rather take that 50% chance on being wrong and realizing that there are no consequences to being wrong than to be a non-believer and be wrong and realize that there are dire consequences. I do go to church but do not consider myself overly religious (as I'm sure most can tell by the way I talk haha)... To use the argument that God loves the gay people as well as anyone is accurate...BUT...he loves them as people and is deeply hurt by what they do. To be measured by what you have done wrong in your life, I would rather be measured by popping off an F-bomb every now and then than plowing my buddy in the ass. Put it this way...which would you rather get caught doing in public? Me, I'll stick to the F-bombs and farting in public LOL...

i agree with you on a lot of what you said. i have had cops flip on their lights, fly by me to get on the highway just to turn them off and take off driving down the highway. like they couldnt wait for me to pull onto the highway, they just HAD to get around me...(not local cops btw, StL cops). the problem with this area is that there are quite a few people and businesses in the area and robberies don't happen down here at all. this is something that in all honesty, is virtually unheard of in this town. there were only two cops chasing the robber and they were fairly close together. the problem was, like you described in your near incident, was that instead of looking up for more cops, the driver just went and didn't just pull back onto the road, she zipped across the road. the construction guys across the street likened it to her looking like she was trying to "zip" across the road to turn off. this leaves no reaction time for anyone. had it been 35-40 mph full blown, i'm sure someone would have died, but the car wouldn't have flipped like it did. but, the cop car slammed it's brakes, which in turn dips the front end down and acts as a scoop which flipped the car. IMHO, had the cop car had a performance suspension instead of the cushy suspension they do have, it would not have dipped down. the impact itself wasn't so great that it hurt the cop but the flipping of the other car threw so many people out of the car. the mom was still hanging out of the car when i walked outside. the car had flipped over on her several times. NONE of them were wearing seatbelts, not even the kids.

I think it would have made a world of different if you think of the physics of your crash. Basically, your bar went into your back and ALL of the force went into the area where your bar landed on your back, very isolated and local to the bar. This is bad as it was easier for the bar to smash your lung and rib cage. Now, add the chest protector and instead of your back taking the force localized to the area where the bar hit, it is dispersed over the entire area of the chest protector. You are still going to take the entire hit, but it will be spread out over a larger area instead of all of the force in a very small area.

Ironic thing about that is the fact that this guy DID run into a building and was headed inside when the cop whipped in. He hit a opthalmologist's <sp> office that has about two or three doctors in it and was full of patients, nurses, etc...this really really bad situation could have gotten worse in a heartbeat...

System of a Down was awesome. I have watched their shows from the crowd as well as side stage and those guys just kick ass. Another great concert was old school Incubus (s.c.i.e.n.c.e. and earlier). Not that they are not still a great band, but the energy they had then was just amazing. latest results showed the cop was not going that fast but around 70. he had actually swerved into the next lane to avoid the lady but she had zipped in front of him. the guy (robber) has a record of armed robbery and what not, this wasn't his first go around. he was in a stolen van and robbed the hotel at gun point. it's this bastards fault that they had to chase him, he was armed and dangerous, heading south towards the high school and civic center where MY kids play. they have every right to stop this fucker from hurting anyone in the area. some lady NOT paying attention pulls out in front of a cop who normally would have not been speeding. fry this bastard IMO. he came down to farmington from St Louis to rob this damn hotel...pick one on a damn highway...not a populated business / residential district. news story they are charging the bastard who robbed the Super 8 with the deaths of the two people. they are supposed to have a new conference at 3:00 today...i hope the guy gets screwed. two people die because this guy robs somebody at gunpoint for pocket change.

Well, the cop had his lights and siren going and the person did not yield to the second cop. He was doing his job which was chasing the robber(s). BUT, I know exactly what you mean. I'm sure this is going to haunt him for a really long time. He instantly got out of his car and was trying to help everyone and was calling for help. I am on the fence on the issue on how much responsibility the cop should bear. The REALLY scary part about it is that my son usually attends an after school thing until 5:00 and my wife picks him up. Seeing how school is almost over, the program is not going and he was put on a school bus yesterday for the first time since he has been in school (second grade). He was supposed to be taken to my wife's work, but they dropped him off at an apartment complex across the street from me (same street that the accident happened on). He stood there and cried and the bus driver went back and picked him up and drove him here (which he wasnt supposed to come here anyway). He refused to walk across the street from the apartments, that is why the bus driver picked him back up. He was home MAYBE five minutes before the wreck happened. He got to sleep in our bed last night with extra hugs from us. Stuff happens so fast.

well, i called a couple of my cop friends around and found out that both the mom and the grandma died. i didnt think the mom was gonna make it as she was kinda hanging half in and outta the car pretty messed up. really sad that two kids lost their mom and grandma and are struggling to live because some jackoff robbed a hotel for fifty dollars. i hope they stick it to that guy. the lady had pulled over to yield to the commotion coming up behind her. i was incorrect, it was only two cop cars chasing the guy. she pulled over for the van (robber) and the first cop and then just pulled onto a road just across from where she pulled over and right in front of the other cop. really really sad. the part that bothers me the most is taking the kids out on the stretcher all covered up.

Right in front of my place, three cops were chasing a dude who robbed a hotel today at around 4:00. They were chasing the guy going around 100 mph and an old lady with two kids and the kid's mom in the car pulled out in front of the last cop and got hit perfectly in the center of her car. it threw one little boy and her from the car and they both landed in my yard. the little boy went further than the old lady, laid on the ground and we thought he was dead...then, about ten minutes later, he started kicking and was alive. the old lady never got up, she died where she landed. she laid in my yard dead for about an hour before the coroner picked her up. one little boy was air evac'ed to St Louis and the other little boy and the mom went to the local hospital. I dont know if all three of them made it or not. The cop also went to the hospital. now, there is a HUGE dent in my yard where the old lady landed and a big blood spot where the little boy landed. they caught the guys who robbed the Super 8 just down the road from me. i'm sure they will be charged with manslaughter at the very least. it was very sad to see these little kids being carried away on stretchers, one of which had his face and everything covered up . pisses me off when people just don't pay attention...

in all actuality, it barely touches the artist themselves. a CD is broken down into what they call "points". The artist only sees a VERY small portion of these points. all other points go to the label. on top of this, the artist usually loses rights to his own music in a record deal as well as loses the freedom to express themselves musically. this is why most other artists were bashing metallica. file sharing was a way for new artists to get their music out in the mainstream. you could see smaller bands selling out shows because their music was out there. this helped them get noticed. do you realize that most of the entertainment industry is owned by two companies, NOT the artists. as a musician, i have twice left bands that have had record deals sitting in front of them (one from Sony and one from Dreamworks). both of these are owned and controlled by larger corporations. i left because i will not become some corporations pawn to make them more money. bands like metallica, sarah mclachlan, dre, etc...they have their own labels even if it is a subsidiary of a bigger label. therefore, the money that their LABEL lost due to file sharing is what they were pissed about. saying that file sharing steals from the artist is bullshit...ask smaller bands like mudvayne, finger eleven, opeth, etc who solely belong to a label what they think. they love it because it packs their house. back to metallica...they used to be "Metal up your ass", which was written against corporate entertainment. now, they ARE corporate entertainment. they are no longer for the fans...go to a metallica show now and see if they hang out in the club down the street with all of their fans like they did on Master of Puppets or the black album. f*ck no...they hop in their bus to jet out of there. they don't stop and hang out or interact one on one with the fans, you have to win a damn contest to do that with them now.
