  1. today someone was telling me about something to with the battery being dead/ unhooked? and he tried to explain how to reset it. any camaro guys here?
  2. i have no idea what all those abbrevations means, but i have no manual or anything for it, i guess i will have to take it to the shop and pay out the ass then huh?
  3. what is it? and how do i do it? *edit* i know its a sensor, but thats all i know about TPS.
  4. you smack him for being so stupid? my tecate's got 240psi and i'am replacing the rings every weekend, with a light port job.
  5. unless your tank is bone dry and you can swash it around enough to mix the oil in the fuel(with valve off) i wouldn't do it. where abouts will you be, iam around 5 miles from the hill.
  6. i have a 1982 chevy camaro, cross-fire fuel injected z28 and it is ideling pretty high(around 1500RPM's) how can i slow it down alittle?
  7. looks to me that some people arn't really reading the post, just the topic. i said it was on my bike(which i know some people call their wheelers bikes) and i guess all of the "hidden" information
  8. i see you guys think this is on a banshee. its on my tecate, and the shock doesn't mount to the frame and swingarm, but rather there is a pivot kind of deal, which does not move enough for me to reinstall the shock, making it a bitch.
  9. but if i remove the shock, then tighten i dont think i will be able to put it back in. it was tough enough with the nut backed off all the way. also, there is no room for channel locks.
  10. well there is barley room for a punch so the spanner wrench is def. outta the question. the strap was going to break way before the spring would budge, any other idea's?
  11. what do you guys use to compress the spring (rear) while it is still in the chasis. it is on my bike and there is little room for a punch, and i got to get it spun (tighten) about an inch worth of threads. compressing the spring would be much easier. PLEASE HELP ME!
  12. oooh yea, i checked just about everything. it has fair spark. and the timing isn't adjustable. when he was pulling the flywheel off, he was just yarning on it, i had the puller and he was impatient, could that be it?
  13. i run AV gas in my Tecate with 175lbs of compression. i would never in my right mind spend 7.00+/gallon for race fuel, speccially since mine gets around 15 miles to a 2.75 gal tank. av does have lead in it, but you can buy the low lead (100LL) i spend about 2.70/gal on AV gas, which is good.
  14. a friend of mine just bought an old blaster for 300 with a blow up engine. he threw 2 rebuild kits in it and nothing. its pretty half ass cobbed up(missing top right and bottom left bolts on intake) that is what i figured was wrong with it. its got good spark, compression and is getting the right mixed/fuel. only other think i can think is the timing is off? the key is on the crank and the flywheel is on it, and the stator is on right, is there anyother way the timing can still be off?
  15. what gets me is that since '87 to 2004 the banshee hardley changed, and to this day theres nothing new that can touch it (or until the 450's came out)
  16. like any other transplate their will be atleast some fabricating. i think you'd be better off getting an elephant to wear a pair of pants, not trying to kill the spirit here though *wink*
  17. wow guys i didnt really think much people missed me anywho, for like the first 5 mons when i was here, i never owned a banshe...wierd
  18. well some of you might remember me, the others iam sure don't even care. but back in august last year i sold my '99 banshee to some jackass and kinda faded away from the forums. man i feel so "old" because i have been with the HQ since 2001 atleast and remember when most of these guys just joined. anyways banshee's around here are going pretty cheap so i might be getting another one..couldn't hurt right?
  19. well i got just the seals and a bolt for the 40.00 being tax exempt for our shop, but still, i can get a complete seal kit from dennis kirk for 14.99!
  20. today i went to my local kawi. dealer to get two oil seals and a bolt for the bearing carrier, 40 fucking dollars. who else has been screwed like this?
  21. looks like it says 315, must be its a big bore, and EP is the shop that put it in?
  22. yeah, i already mic'd (?) it. i think i'am going to just go with new rings, the piston doesn't look to be in too bad of shape....yet (those smilies look gay)
  23. i've tried sherwin williams with no luck, they didnt even know what i'am talking about. maybe lowe's or home depot? maybe iam not pernoucing it right? (too-lean)
  24. coolant shouldn't go over 220 degree's, 1100, who told ya that
