i don't usually reply to posts like this, but you can squeeze some serious power out of a 250r. i've seen atv's with modified snomobile engines, and 4cyl. crotch rocket engines in them, and yet to see them twist an axle. and he probably tows it to start it, because its a peice of shit. you can double the base gaskets to advance port timing alittle, which is why you would put a smaller head gasket in them, to compensate for the reduction of compression. i wanna see some pictures

got the pump today, 50.00 with the bracket bracket wasnt even close to fitting so i had to use my old one, bolts right up, lets just see what happeneds thanks again guys, i will post a picture of the truck (and engine) as soon as a can get my digital camera read the pictures.

wesw- i do gotta chevy, 3 actually and i think the 44" tires on my ford might have something to do with the pump going? bansheefreak- yes there is a sticker on it, with some sort of number, maybe the local junk yard will know more about it. firehead- i have a picture on my digital camera, but the POS won't upload them onto my PC, so patience is the key, but when i get one, i will send it to you ASAP. jinx44- thanks, that actually helps, just it looks like the pully needs to come off the pump, because the bolts that hold to pump to the bracket are behind the pulley... thanks guys, i will look in the junk yard as soon as the outside warms up above zero degrees outside

the belt is no problem, i can just go my demensions off the pullys, thats cake. i need to replace the power steering pump on it, and cant figure out what year my engine is, and the mounting bracket for the pump looks like its homemade out of aluminum. i can't get a picture today, as i lost my cd to install my camera, but i will try to find it

well i think its: c-60's d-70's e-80's f-90's i cant make out the numbers that well, there is alot of surface rust in that area, but tomorrow i will post a picture. thanks guys

i recently bought a 1981 ford, but am unsure of the engine. it is a 351, and i beleive it is a windsor, but i dont know the year. i looked at the casting number above the starter and it begins with e5 (which i believe is 1985) its got a stock looking intake manifold, with a new holley four barrel. the kicker is the engine has a serpintine belt, not the old style v-belt. can anyone help me out???
