  2. well i finally did it, after a bunch of reading, and comparing what works with what dont from different guys i tried my own port job. it looks pretty nice i think but iam just curious what can i do to these to ensure they're done right, and identical to each other?should i send them to a company and have them template them or something? its running alittle rough, but i dont know if its because my carbs are just junk (small stockers bored out alittle)? i know all porting is different thats why i think i want to have a professional check them out.

  4. bought a 2001 banshee tonight that needs everything associated with the wiring harness(killswitch, cdi, stator, coil, voltage reg., harness, [nothing to do with tors nessecary] got a flywheel so dont need that, can anyone help me out with a reasonable price. must be gaurenteed to work on arrival! thanks
  5. well when i rebuilt my banshee the last time i did some home porting which turned out well, but iam looking for some more midrange/topend. has anyone got any tips or pictures? i tried a search but a flood control thing keeps coming up?

  7. im not following what your saying? rebuilt top end, gaskets, pistons, rings etc.
  8. its a lesile (?) gauge, i didnt check it before i pulled the stock head (was on my list too) i held the throttle wide open and kicked until it stopped building pressure, (5-7 kicks) and it was right after i was done riding it. like i said its been starting hard and not running to its full potential. i hope is just an o-ring in the head or something stupid but my moneys on the rings
  9. i got my banshee ported alittle( i would say a heavier trail port), and just installed my NOSS head with 20cc domes. and my compression is only 125 per side. i was expecting probably around 160--170. is this normal? i rebuilt my top end not too long ago( not my first or second one either) did i install something wrong on this head? or are my rings shot already? its been starting hard and kinda weak on power.
  10. iam not sure what type of av fuel it is. seems like no one else has problems with it around here. all i konw is that its blue and 100LL
  11. its leaking out where the valve itself is(behind the two screws) not where it mounts on the tank. pingles are pretty pricey arnt they? i would like to still have my reserve too, it comes in handy for my riding style. it starting leaking right as soon as i ran AV fuel, not graduatly over time.
  12. i was runing pump gas in my banshee and it didnt leak fuel anywheres. now that i switched over to av fuel its leaking like a siv. i bought a used petcock off here, put it in and thats leaking to. anyone experience this with AV fuel? is there something i can do(modify the stock one?) worse come to worse i might make a new valve assembly. two holes in the tank, two carbs. one to each carb with no reserve?

  15. ok heres my mods. t5pipes, good mild porting, stock bore stock stroke vitos pistons. noss head with 20cc domes, vf'3 reeds. stock carbs bored to 27.5mm, toomey 2:1 intake with outerwear. iam running av fuel mixed 50:1 amsoil dominator oil. 750ft elevation. averaging about 70-80degrees temp. timming is advanced +5 degrees. where a good starting point on mains, pilots, and air screw turns?? all help greatly appreciated.
  16. hey guys my banshee is loosing fuel, looks like out of the fuel petcock on the tank? it didnt start doing this until i went to AV gas. could the little o-ring be shot or is this AV fuel just that potent on that fuel valve? i want to keep a stock valve in it, for the reserve. anyone got one for sale cheap?

    anyone got a new or lightly used outwear to fit my toomey 2 into 1 air filter? or know where i can find one shoot me a PM please.
  22. alright im keeping an eye out on a couple sets of 30's (always can have them punched out i guess) iam going to be ordering a noss head so iam pretty syked about that, plus the new carbs and the new v-forces i put in :biggrin:

  24. i definatly need more intake, i got t5's and some mild porting, shaved head and v-3's. maybe i will just buy bigger carbs, i would like to keep mikunis because i got so many jets. (almost 20 sets of mains) and a couple pilots
