You need a new choke switch. Yours is worn out. It will probably br cheaper to buy a used set of carbs for the switch than it would to buy the new switch. The switch is the thing you pull out. The rubber pieces on the part that go into the shaft are too small now and let it just slide back in.

Go to Larry's Cr500 forum, there is a big debate on there about them.

Is there any chance your frame is bent? You shouldn't have to cut the pipe to get it to fit. Are you twisting the silencer as you push it on the header? If you cut it, it could be too short next time you go to install after having it off. Is the header flush up against the cylinder where they meet all the way around. You could try to file the edge down smooth of the header pipe where it goes into the silencer. Maybe it catching and not letting it go in as far as it should.

NO! Do not grind down the header pipe. Do you have the pipe hangers on the header pipe? If you do, take it off and then try to put the silencer on. This will give you some more room to get it to fit. Once you get the bolt in the silencer then go back and put the pipe hanger on.

Yeah and I guess being a follower if something was pushed on you, you wouldn't call it bullshit. In your previous post you said you don't agree with religion being pushed on people. I'm sane, I'm not a believer. The bible was made to guide people as a tool. Imagine life today without it, it would be chaos. It is definetly like Santa Claus, you be good and you will get rewarded. This is where people who don't believe in religon have an advantage. We (who don't believe) can use your belief to our advantage because we know your scared of ghosts and goblins. We know what you will probably do in a certain situtation and can make a better decision to make things better for ourselves. That puts us on top of any situation dealing with religous people. Don't get me wrong, I think religon is good for weak minded people that are not happy with what they are getting out of life. Have you ever noticed that there are alot of fat, ugly, and old people going to church? The fact is there not happy with life and there turning to religon to get happiness because they are too weak mined to change there life for the better. I have never met one 100% honest religous person. This is my eyes makes them all hipocrits. You say your gonna do one thing and then you don't (liars). I don't preach that I'm gonna live by certain rules. I live how I want and what makes me feel good about myself. I take credit for what I do, not some made up god. Religion causes alot of people to do bad things because they believe they can just confess and evrything is okay (bullshit). I love the movie seven because it shows that ALL people are guilty of one of the so called seven deadly sins which means evrybody would go to hell if there was one. Now lets talk about offerings at church or should I say your club donation. I'm giving serious thoughts to opening my own church, theres damn good money in it. If people are gonna be dumb enough to just hand over there hard earned cash I might as well have my hand out. Take the offering away and see how long the pastor sticks around. The truth is religion is a money making scam that scares people into acting a certain way. Religion was then, and Law and government is now. Unforntunately religion has tainted our government and law. You can damn well bet that I will put my hand on the bible (like I said above, my advantage) when swearing-in in court, if not I will have predjudis bible beaters against me. In this case as well as with our laws/religion it is forced on us and it is not freedom not to believe. Thats fact in its self that relgion is predjudice against people who don't believe. The truth is non-religous people are more honest then relgious people. We dont' make up bullshit in our heads to not take responsibility for our actions, we have to live and die with ourselves.
