I have a 35mm 2 into 1 carb that I will be installing soon and I have heard that the power jet makes them run inconsistant. Should I shut it completely off and just run bigger mains? I am 500-1000ft above sea level in 30 degree weather, so how should I jet it. I got a 178, 180, 185 and whatever main is in it right now. Will one of these work or will I be ordering new ones?

I am looking for a 33mm 2 into 1 carb in good shape. I also have a 35mm if anyone wants to trade or buy it. I would rather wait till I get the 33 to sell the 35 so I'm not stuck without a carb. shoot me a pm

I need to decide whether to keep my T-5's or get PT mids. I want the best low-mid power I can get. I have the chance to buy just the head pipes for $150. What should I do?? Here is a pic of them. Please help me asap, I need to know within an hour or so.

I have black T-5's with toomey silencers I might be willing to trade for some low-mid pipes. By low-mid pipes I mean, 2 into 1 pipe, maybe FMF fatties or gnarlies, PT mids, or maybe even an adjustable pipe. I have pics if you would like to see the T-5's. I am not interested in an top end pipes.
-
If anybody has some Pt mids they want to get rid of let me know. I found a motofast header pipe for sale but no silencer. Are motofast silencers the only ones that fit on the headers?

I am looking for a pipe or pipes for mx. I want a broad power band. I am leaning towards the motofast because I will have the singe carb as well and because it is cheaper to buy one pipe instead of two. What pipe would you suggest? If anybody has a motofast they are looking to get rid of let me know, or if anybody wants my T-5's.

A guy who has been building 2-stroke engines since the 70's told me today that I need to go with a 33mm keihin 2 into 1 instead of a 35. I am looking to get the most low end power I can out of the setup and he said 33 is the way to go. What do you guys think? I thought that if you had a modded engine the 35 was supposed to be better? If anybody is looking for a 35mm carb let me know, or if you have a 33 your looking to get rid of.

I have a 35 pwk on the way, but now know that for bottom end i need a 33mm. I found a 34 pj that came off of a 250r. Will this work on my shee and where will this carb help (low, mid, or high)? Should I try and buy the pj or keep looking for a 33 pwk? Please help asap because I don't have very long to decide. Thanks.

My engine has mx porting and intake porting. Check my sig for other mods. I have also heard that if I went with the 33 it would kill my top end? What should I do? My 35 has a power jet and I have heard that they run inconsistant, can you put a blank jet in it?

I was told that with all my mods (Toomey T-5's, v-force reeds, wisesco pistons .20 over, low-mid porting, intake porting, noss head, 20cc domes, 2 into 1 keihin 35mm carb, and k&n filter) that I need to increase the timing. Do I need to? I was also told that the carb won't work right unless I get a fuel pump and new reeds. The carb has a power jet, and thats why the guy said I would need a fuel pump and new reeds. Is there a way to shut off the power jet? This is from his email: "power jet carbs suck you will not be able to keep the bowl full unless put in a 2 psi electric fuel pump when you go full throttle back off hit it agian, blows too much fuel then leans used these back in the 70s and they have not changed still suck, they put fuel in or lean it they are very inconsistence for air fuel ratios". Is any of that true? I am totally lost here, I've had 3 different people tell me 3 different things about jetting and this guy is telling me my setup sucks and it wont work. What should I do?

Do I have to break the shee in when I put my cylinders back on after getting them ported? I thought that you only needed to when you were boring, or with new rings? What should I do?
-
My current mods are: Toomey T-5's, wisesco pistons .20 over, low-mid porting, intake porting, noss head, and 20cc domes. I run 93 octane at 500-1000 ft above sea level. I just bought a keihin 35mm 2 into 1 carb with k&n filter. The carb has a power jet and the intake tracks have a rifle bore. How should I jet it in 30-50 degree weather?

Jetting For New Mods?
FoxBansheeRacing replied to FoxBansheeRacing's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Are you saying it would run to lean in the winter if it was jetted for 70 degrees? If I jet it in 30-50 weather at 290 mains, will going back to 280 in the summer(70-90) be enough? -
Does anybody have a Denton steering stabalizer? I'm thinking about getting one and wondered if its worth the $$$. How hard are they to put on and what exactly do they connect to?

Jetting For New Mods?
FoxBansheeRacing replied to FoxBansheeRacing's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I would just like to set it so it will run its best in between 70 and 90 degrees. What will my plugs look like if it was jetted for that temp, in around 30 degree weather. When I took them out they were a dark brown(after riding in 30 degree weather). -
Jetting For New Mods?
FoxBansheeRacing replied to FoxBansheeRacing's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Do you mean go up a couple sizes on the main jets, like to a 290 or 300? How is the weather going to affect the jetting? I would like to set it so I won't have to mess with it again in the spring/summer. -
With everything I had before ( Toomey T-5's, Toomey 2-1 filter, Wiseco pistons .20 over) I was running 280's and needles set 3 from the top. My shee is apart right now for upgrades and I need to know what do to with jetting when I put it back together. I will be adding Noss head and 20cc domes, and I am getting cylinder/ intake porting done. What jetting do you suggest?

How Often To Change Tranny Oil?
FoxBansheeRacing replied to FoxBansheeRacing's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Where do you get the valvoline atv 10/40? -
Going more than .80 over really isn't all that reliable and it will overheat much easier. If you have an aftermarket head this should be a problem.

How Often To Change Tranny Oil?
FoxBansheeRacing replied to FoxBansheeRacing's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Would any gas station have that or would I have to get it or order it from my dealer? I think the guy that had my Banshee before me always ran AmsOil. -
I am running the Toomey 2-1 air filter and its so close to the pipes it will burn holes in the outerwear. Would some of that heat resistant tape work? I'll be going through outerwears weekly if I don't do something.
-
How often do you guys change your transmission oil in terms of hours?
-
Right now my Shee has Wiseco pistons .20 over, toomey t-5's, v-force reeds, and 2-1 toomey filter. It has the Toomey jet kit in it. Within a few weeks I will have my cylinders ported, noss head, and 20cc domes. Will I need a different jet kit or will the toomey work? What jetting would you suggest for the above mods running at 500-1000ft above sea level? Thanks
