  1. I'm looking to get the best low and mid power I can get, and I know different pipes respond differently to porting and other mods. I am leaning towards the gnarlies because they are specifically for the power I am wanting, but I have heard that fatties respond well to porting. If it matters I have stage 3 mx porting and intake porting as well. What pipes would you recommend?
  2. I have them on my shee, 20cc domes running 93 octane. I did porting, head and domes, and new carb, so I really can't say what helped the most, but it is a low end monster now. They give you alot more bottom and I noticed a slightly broader powerband. Hats off to dave and everyone else at noss.
  3. I have a graydon 2 into 1 intake right now and was wondering if its just the advertising or if trinity intake manifolds are alot better. They say they increase bottom end power by 20% and I have never seen numbers like that on graydon's site. Would it be worth it to sell the graydon and get a trinity?
  4. It all depends on the take off ramp. If it is very steep, like a kicker, you may need to go even faster. If it is a gentle slope where your not going to go very high, but go far, then I would say third should be good. It also depends on how big the take off and landings are. Remeber, it is always better to overshoot than to case a jump.
  5. rockymountainatv.com or your dealer should be able to order it for you.
  6. I know this site really helps when I'm pissed off, and when I'm not its just funny. Take a look here.
  7. I have a clamp on K&N filter and was wondering what kind of outwear I need. It is single carb so its a single outerwear. Before, I ran the toomey 2 into 1 filter, so it was easy to find the right one, but now I'm clueless.
  8. As of right now I am only looking to sell the head pipes. Once I have them sold and find a good set of low-mid pipes I will decide whether or not I will stick with the toomey silencers or get new ones. They are black finish. I will let them go for $165 shipped.
  9. Pipes Make me an offer...
  10. I'm not sure. Its at whatever the guy I bought it from had it at. I couldn't figure out how to adjust it so I dont know.
  11. I think I need to rephrase what I said earlier. I am not running it like that when it is cold. I am saying that that is what its LIKE when I hit the powerband, even though it is warm. It is not quite as bad as when its cold, but there does seem to be a little bit of hesitation.
  12. My pilot and main jet are right on, but I think my needle may be a little rich. The best way to desribe it is when you hit the powerband hard when its not warm yet and it has some hesitation. This happens at about 1/2 throttle so I'm sure its the needle. I also tried running with the choke on and it was worse. Are they symptoms of being rich and how do you adjust the needle?
  13. Arent the SST's more of a High rev top end pipe? I thought the gnarlies where the bottom end pipes?
  14. I have narrowed it down to fatties, gnarlies, motofast or dynoport 2 into 1. I want the most low and mid range I can get with my setup. If I had the $$ I would get PT mids, but nobodies selling them used. I have heard the 2 into 1 pipes take a long time to build up rpm's in 6th? Because if that I am leaning towards gnarlies. Any suggestions?
  15. I want the best low-mid power I can get. All mods are in my sig, except I will be getting either pt mids, fatties or a 2 into 1 pipe. I would really like to stay with a 2 into 1, but if thats not going to give me the best power I will switch back to twins. What I am looking for is low-mid power with a broad powerband. I have been told by an engine builder to switch from the 35 to a 33? Should I get the 33 or go back to twins?
  16. I am going to get new pipes. Are you saying I should get a pair of 34's? I thought that those would be more for top end. What about a single 34 pj?
  17. Just put the shee back together tonight after getting the cylinders ported, noss head w/ 20cc domes and 2 into 1 35mm carb. I have it jetted right, both cylinders are firing, both pipes are equal in heat, both plugs look the same, but only one pipe is smoking? Is this normal? Even with a low-mid port job, increasing compression, and changing from stock carbs to a 35mm, my bottom end has stayed the same, and now top end pulls like a freight train, just the opposite of what I wanted. Why am I not getting better bottom end?
  18. I have a 35mm and I am looking for a 33. This 35 pulls like a freight train on top, I just need the extra bottom of a 33.
  19. I am looking for a 2 into 1 carb only. I have the intakes and everything else, all I need is the carb. If anybody is interested in my 35 let me know.
  20. Yes I know they need to be in the groves, I mean is there a certain position they need to be in in the groves?
  21. I am putting my shee back together tonight and was wondering if there is a special place the rings need to be when you seat them back into the cylinders. If there is a special place where is it at? Is there anything else I need to know about this?
  22. What do the head and cylinders need to be torqued at? Do the intakes need to be torqued as well? Thanks for any help
  23. I am putting the shee all back together tonight and I'm not sure where all the gas lines go. Its a 2 into 1 keihin. It has 4 lines and I am guessing 2 are overflow, but where do the other two go? And what two are overflow? There are two that go out from the carb and criss-cross. I need help ASAP!!!! Thanks
  24. ROTFLMFAO!!!! THAT IS GREAT!!!
  25. Adjustable Timing Plate Are these worth it? I would be running it on a stock flywheel. How easy are they to install? Will it require a jetting change or anything like that? Thanks for any info.
