1. Depends on what brand and type of oil your running. Different brands suggest different ratios. Read the side of the bottle and see what they suggest. Or, if you still arent sure write another post stating what type of oil you are running. I would suggest Maxima 927, Amsoil, Klotz,Yamalube,Torqo, or silkolene. These are all top rated oils and provide excellent protection.
2. Forget all the math bullshit, and just get a ratio rite, dump the oil in to the perfered mixture, dump it in your jug, shake it up, and pour.
3. Tap Root Breaking Benjamin Atomship Slipknot Disturbed (Old album) Cold Mudvayne KORN
4. Next to porting, pipes are the number one biggest performance gain you can do to a banshee.
5. I'm kinda with Loco on this one. My OPINION of trinity = Yes, they might build a good motor, and it will most likely out run all the stockers you line up against, and will probably outrun 450's all day long with no trouble at all. If thats all you want then great.. I highly recomend going with a trinity motor. They are an excellent company for the guy who wants to get a little more ZIP out of his motor. I've been hillclimbing on a national level for about 4yrs on a CR500 that puts out over 85hp and has tons of torque. The bike will pull any gear you throw on it.This is the kind of power and speed I'm used to, and maybe I'm asking too much out of the banshee engine, but that is how I want it to run. My OPINION of fast, is not out runnin the stockers out in the dunes, or throwin sand in some poor 4 stokers face. FAST to me is.. Every time I grab a gear the cross bar comes up and smacks me in the face, gives me a bloody nose, and the whole damn machine comes over backwards and out from underneath me,( all at the same time) and leaves me lying in a pile of dust, while I spit my broken teeth out. THAT.. IS MY OPINION OF FAST IF anyone on this website knows of an engine builder that can perform this task for me PLEASE let me know who it is.
6. Looks like a replica of the shearer to me
7. Without extensive porting you ain't gonna do it. I have an 01 CR 250 and have raced it against Banshees.. They can't hang with bikes that have 25 years of technology on them (not to mention about half the weight). Modern day motocrosser = 50hp stock Banshee stock with pipes = 45hp
8. [] sorry but the akwi 750 triple was the H@ and the water buffalo your talkinga bout was the 72-73 suzuki 750 triple and it's watercooled. i have a 750gt engien for sale if anybody is interested. oh yeah both engiens are 2 strokes and fast by gast told me they use teh same pipes. kinda wierd huh. they are totaly difernt engiens 282943 You are right. These machines both came out in the early 70's. The zuki didn't perform as well as the kawi, even though more technolgy went into it. The kawi was just an air cooled motor, but made much more power. They are pretty fast in stock form, but a little port work and they become wicked. Some of the guys I used to ride against had them. Some were putting out between 170 and 200 hp, that a lot of ponies comin out of an early seventys machine. They are very interesting to watch (and hear). The only problem is getting the power to the ground. The longer the hill the faster they go !
9. Whats this mean, you have less power after they port them? 282985 I think it means "YOU DON'T GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR"!
10. they might be fast on the street... but in the sand. they'd look more like a bulldozer than a dragster. It sure would suck gettin beat by an MX port
11. If your running stock carbs, your best bet would be to just buy a set of Dyno Jet needles. The difference is nite and day
12. good luck shiftin that bitch!!
13. Sorry, i fucked the spelling up on " Pro-flo"
14. carb part warehouse, sudco, plo-flow
15. Looks to ME like the shearer is the top end pipe, out reving, and out pulling the CPI
16. oops...... I'm a retard. I thought i read all the posts before I sent my reply. But i do know where Parker is now. There is a similar set up going on near Holton KS. From what I heard its in a guys back yard out in the country. I also heard there is a lot of fast shit there. One guys rides a 350 dragport on alcohol makin 98hp.
17. sorry, I didn't mean to quote on my last post. Not use to the new set up yet.
18. Where the hell is Parker KS. Is it some where around holton?
19. Are they on 8 or 10 inch rims?
20. Do the chokes stay up? Lectrons have a problem with the chokes wearing out and they won't stay up. Did you mess with the metering rods any?
21. I think I got it figured out!! I ordered $118 worth of needles from sudco. These needles varried from both ends of the spectrum. There is about a hundred different needles to choose from, I got about seven. I didn't expect a "for sure" fix from the needles I purchased, I just wanted to get in the ballpark of where I needed to be. Thats exactly what happened. I ended up going with a CEK, I think I might need a CCK, wich is one step richer on the L1 position. The CEK which I am running now is one step richer on the L1 than the standard needles, wich are DGK. Also I have come to the conclusion that and air box does not supply enough air to the motor. As strange as it sounds, I richend up my jetting, gave it more air and, it runs great.... It has just a hint of the dead spot still, but i think I can get it out by going with dual K&N's to give it more air. I am currently running uni filter pods. If going to the K&N's doesn't do the trick then I will put a CCK needle in it. That will hopefully do the trick. Current specs. are 35mm PWK's... 168 mains, 45 pilots, 2.5 screws out on air screw, and CEK needles.
