I posted another topic about spitting and cutting out at full out....... not sure still whats going on......... The bike spitts and cutts out at full throttle and nothing except race gas was the change for the last ride.. Any chance a worn out or bad reed would cause this? FYI, the bike runs great at iddle and mid band, but full out is choking out .. Also, its seems to get much better after it warms up. Thought?/ thanks ya'll

Did not try jetting the plugs where a perfect tan, and a little wet.......plus I hav used the same set up at the same place a few times............ so either bad gas, or something else any chance it might be a reed.......would it act like that? -

I had just bought some race gas at the dunes......... so, it was fresh.......but someone else mention maybe some bad gass, ya think that might have been itt? never had the problem with pump gas.. -
Hey all, I have a small problem......... Went to the dunes this weekend and had aproblem with the bike sputtering and spitting only at full out throttle. The bike iddles perfect, and even mid throttle runs good, just wide open did it. I cleaned the carbs and new plugs...jetted perfect cause it has never done this before with the same set up. Was wondering if anyone had a thought on it...... I did replace the plugs and it seemed to go away, but the returned shortly. I also should mention that when it gets warmer it seems better, when its cold it is really bad.. Could this be a reed problem? They are still stock and it is an 2003. Thoughts Thanks

So, 1st. whats your elevation? If its close to sea level, you should be around 320 mains and 30 pilots.......I think FMF recomends a 32.5 pilot, but I could not get it started with it, so I run the 30........stock needle position and 1 1/2 turns out on the air mix...... lid off air box and K&N filter.......... runs like a raped ape:) have fun

thanks for the input everyone......i cleaned the carbs real well and will fire it up tommorro.........to late for the burb naybers:) and I am a little drunk to fly around the hood......heehee I think it was a dirty jet but one of you mentioned a exhaust thing,, i took on some water a week ago and it seemed to go away after a few, but can that be an issue? I went in some water and it bogged down for 3 minutes, then seemed to clear out.......then this new problem.,............ dont know..........just know i like beer.......and this is true thanks banshee freinds:))

hey all, I rode my banshee last night and was running strange......I rode last week and it ran great and has been running awesome.... but last night it would start fine and idle, but a soon as you hit the gas it was bogging or acting like the carb was loading up.......I tried to open it up on the road and it would never hit full power...... could this be a dirty carb, stuck float.....clogged jet.....any thoughts ??? thanks ya'll

hey all..........does anyone have an opinion on the black rims on the market. I am thinking of buying the ITP C-ceries black rims but do want them to look like crap in a couple months from chipping......I know the limited banshee had the black rims, did those hold the black good thought??? anyone???

hey guys, I was riding trails with lots of water last week and took on some water into the carbs, It ran strange for about 2 minutes then started running great again.......should I be worried about any problems now, or did it correct itself? thought? thanks

I am curious why someone would shorten the swing arm, when everyone wants to lengthen them..... what is the benefit of a shorter wheel base, its gonna be really unstable that way, especially when ya hit the throttle up a hill.... sounds strange why?

yellabanshee replied to yellabanshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
dude......15/41 thats like a sand bike 75 mph.........i need the low end.......almost always in 1st gear where we ride......all tight trails, i should really be riding a 4 stroke, but i cant do it...........2 stroke make me happy.......but i want more low end torque... like a 4 stroke.......... love my banshee though:) -

yellabanshee replied to yellabanshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
so, jmorre, sounds like you have the same set up as me, without the shaved head and timing and lightened flywheel........... do you ride sand only or some trails? I ride mostly tight trails and always kicking my freinds ass on a honda450r hehehee but I want more low end now.. so I thought shaving this head would be a good start I do have the sprockets done at 13 front and 44 rear.....but i need more:)
