  1. Looks like a great site to buy bolts, thank RNBRAD
  2. What brand and model of 34mm carbs?
  3. I really like my cannon A-70, only 3 Mega Pixels though but that is plenty for a 8x10 picture. It has a nice quality view window which will let you see if you took a decent picture. The new version is called and A-75 or something. Don't get suckered in by a high Mega Pixel camera unless you need the super fine resolution or big picture size. Optical Zoom is a lot beter than digital zoom. Just some of my extremely ammatur opinions.
  4. You mean this kinda juice?
  5. Get a head with 20cc domes and go +4 on the timing and the 100 octane will make a difference, of coarse you can't run pump fuel anymore with that setup.
  6. Get an autopart store or walmart cheap tester for about $15 to $20. Remove spark plug and screw the tester fitting into the head. Kick it over with the ignition off several times untill the needle on the tester quits climbing. Read the guage. Rlease the pressure in guage and repeat. Do this a couple times per cylinder to check results are consistant. Put plug back in and do it on the other side.
  7. Just word of mouth info I have gathered and some of my own experience with Rockets, the Rockets do better and yeild a better overall gain with a milder port job and have move low end torque. CPI's do better than Rockets on a full drag port. They both have a big mid to top end. I think the Rockets may have a smoother delivery. They are probably pretty close if you get the jetting dialed in on both.
  8. GBC Paddlemasters are a real tough sand tire that could take a little more dirt abuse than any other sand tire I can think of, just to add some food for thought.
  9. What others said, and make sure air screws are adjusted the same.
  10. Just my $0.02, if it is going to be difficult for you to add the balance tube in your design, don't do it. If its easy, do it. If your going for top end, don't do it. If your going for a lot of bottom and mid, do it. The 2 piece prodesign intakes I have don't have one, I ordered them without it.
  11. A smaller gap can help supress detonation if that is a problem but it wont help performance, it can also make the idle rougher. In super/turbo charged cars the only reason they make the gap smaller it to keep the spark from being blown out by all the added fuel and air combined with turbulance and to help supress detonation but a smaller gap doesn't help performance unless it is needed.
  12. No need to fake-up natural beauty like that! Wish I was the banshee!
  13. I agree with Cotton eyed Joe, they are good and bad. They do make your buck go farther so you can afford more stuff and you spend more money on banshee parts, ect. which helps the economy. At the same time working for Walmart or doing business with them is like selling your sould to the devil. Looking at the people in Walmart assures me that our society is in a downward spiral to common lifestyles like that seen on Jerry Springer. They also have an unbelievable ability to be able to build anywhere that they want and manipulate local government agencies to get what they want even though the locals trying to develop have been shot down by the enviro nazi's and the same local government. We have a distribution center locally and the added truck traffic on the highways is unbelievable! Their unfair competition is similar to buying online motorcycle parts which hurts local Dealerships part departments, but also makes them give a competitive price on aftermarket parts or else you just buy online.
  14. The chosen performance seals aren't cheap, if you've made similar seals on a lathe before, I'm sure you could probably make them, sell them for less at a good profit. Also, like I said the seals require you to modify the stinger tubes (shorten) to fit, you could make them so no trimming is required. Basically now my Rockets must me used with the seals I have. Minkia38 (Ray) might be interested in a few sets for Rocket customers if he hasn't already arranged to have a few sets made himself.
  15. I have a set of stinger to pipe seals made by chozen performance that work very well and look really nice. You can see them on page 6 of the banshee parts on chozenperformance.com. They don't list a set specifically for Rockets but they do make the correct size, you just need to measure the stinger tube and expansion chamber outlet diameter and figure out which one will fit. They are one piece aluminum with an o-ring seal on either end. They just slide on tight, no clamp. They have a step inside; 2 diameters, one for the stinger, one for the expansion chamber. I had to trim about 1/4 inch off of the stinger tube because it wouldn't go into the seal far enough for the silencer to mount. Check out the pics below.
  16. I'd probably go with the 265/75/15 they are the size that comes stock on most compact 4x4 pu's. 235's might be better for your 2wd though.
  17. I had a 4" lift on a Ranger I use to own. I liked the Bridgestone Duelers alright, got +50K miles out of them. I liked the Yokahama Goleander AT better, nice quite ride and more traction. The Goleander MT's are a little more agressive, never tried them though but they are supposed to be good. Led - the 31x10.5x15 worked just fine on my stock 15" ranger rims even though the tire shop said they wouldn't recomend that size.. If they clear the bodywork they will work. Measure the clearence with the tires you have now and you should be able to figure it out. They had a pretty good "buldgy" sidewall look but cornering on the road was still pretty good. On my eclipse if you disconnect the battery and let the system discharge for a couple seconds it clears the computer back to original settings and clears the error codes that cause warning lights. If they are BS codes they typically dont come back. I have bought all my tires in the last 5 years from http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/home.do They have free shipping on all tires and they don't seem to raise their price to compensate. You will save $150 over your local tire stores best price. Their shipping is FAST too, UPS ground but it goes out the same day. Tirerack.com is my next chiose for tire buying online. Costco has the duelers at a decent price + warrenty.
  18. This is my best bang for the buck recommendations for you and your riding style. Purchase in this order. Airfilter & adapter plate $100 Pipes - $600 - any of the FMF's, or preferably PT mids Cool head $250 Timing plate $50 Save the remaining $500 for 6 monthes, ride alot and think about tires, accesories, ect you must have or if you can keep from buying a bunch of bling bling and BS you don't need, now take the $500 and another $100 and get a mild port job/new pistons and have the crank welded.
  19. May be you ARE running out of fuel? It can happen especially at WOT for a long time on stock carbs. I'd probably try a better fuel petcock like a pingle or an inline electric pump and then if the problem persists go to a shop.
  20. HA HA HA! Fireman-hott, did you hear about the guys that made the national "morning entertainment" news that mounted a pole in the center or thier appartments living room and had ammatuer strip competitions? That wasn't you was it? Damb I wish I would of thought of that when I was living in the Ol' college party house! More pics bro!
  21. Those dudes that use banshees in their rap videos could hang a polished boost bottle from a platnum chain around thier neck for some extra bling.
  22. If you want an R1 as your first bike you should get your blood type and organ donor card in your wallet. I saw a 2004 R1 at the dealership a couple of monthes ago. They look pretty cool with the underseat exhaust, not as good as the Ducati's of couse! It was only a couple of monthes old with the original tires on it, Totaled! The dude was an experienced rider doing wheelies on the freeway, about 2nd gear 70mph. Not that I haven't done this before my self but, its asking for it. I can't believe that Suzuki will finace riders now for GSXR's and does not require them to get full coverage insurance. The insurance rates are rediculous, but still, it sounds like a recipee for newbie suicycle disaster.
  23. I almost wish everyone that hasn't had one would have a minor, no injury accident, where your know without a doubt your helmet saved your life like I and so many others have had because you won't ever ride without one again. I will keep them in my thoughts.
  24. It was a roostin good time getting tithead all fired up about his 120mph banshee.
  25. I enjoy riding my wifes 450 but my banshee has that little extra something when your on the pipe WOT that gets my adrinoline pumping, puts a little fear in ya that makes you hang on tight, and most noteable gets me up the hill a hell of a lot faster
