  1. It's pretty cool I guess, kind of ugly imo. Just leaves me asking a bunch of questions... Like why an older air cooled motor, why run the stock swing arm if you're going to go so far as to modify the front frame geometry and a custom rear shock? Seems as though the individual would have the skill to build a roundhouse swinger? Why is there a battery...? Why are the cables routed to the outside edge? I'd like to see/hear it run and see what kind of power it puts down.
  2. Shouldn't be that difficult to set up an excel spread sheet to do the same thing.
  3. Never cared to pay extra for a new or mint stock machine. I'd rather build my own and have quality aftermarket. I can only see the value of having a completely new frame and maybe the bottom end. Short of that I tend to replace most everything else anyway.
  4. <br /><br /><br /> If you couldn't tell my entire post was completely sarcastic. Thought it would be more obvious lol.
  5. See, you're both wrong. Gravity only affects things moving downward. Note, he said the guy was going UP the hill, therefore bypassing gravity all together. Was probably also in a vacuum running an iridium plug. (No oxygen required.) My banshee goes 140mph in reverse.
  6. I may be mistaken but I think bbc is talking about his YFZR, Zilla. I think the crazy colors could be a cool idea but there's too many. You get much more than two that don't compliment each other and it gets messy in my opinion. I'd just ride the shit out of it and cover it in mud. It'll look fine then.
  7. The parts on that bike will certainly attract interest. You're going to get a ton of "what do you want for these?" so you might as well sit down a take some time figuring out how much you want for each part you listed and add that to your post. You will see more interest that way because it's less asking and footwork the buyer has to do. To your picture problem, you have that first picture posted correctly, it just looks like you copied the img tagged link from photobucket and then pasted it in the img insert function in the post editor. Next time just post that photobucket link directly into your post.
  8. What "sick carb set up" are you looking for that would be in the range of over 2 grand? For a banshee? You might also list an individual price for each. If anyone here is going to be interested it's most likely just a spare bike for their kids/wife/GF. When you say "Highly modded" around here the first thing people are going to look at is the suspension. If you're rolling on stock components no one is impressed, lol.
  9. He was probably expecting a crowd like on the blaster forums. Young and impressionable, looking for hp in the form of looks. It's probably CF infused with helium so it's still lighter than stock. I give him props for trying to reach out and do something to make a little cash but I hate how easy it is to get rich on a terrible idea because of the mindlessness of the masses these days. So many millionaires who made their money off worthless shit.
  10. If it doesn't run no need for "breaks" right? Lol Some people. Why don't you spend that 250 and fix the goddamn thing and clean the shit out of it if you want to start at such a high asking price. The amount of laziness seen on Craigslist is mind blowing.
  11. This is the first I've heard of this. I don't believe there were any changes to the calipers or spindles on any year YFZ.
  12. The parts look good standing alone but lets see some pictures of these things fitted on their application. The fit and finish once installed is what matters, also may need more than a few off the wall random parts to spark true interest. If you get some banshee parts going I bet you will exponentially increase the interest in your projects.
  13. They fit without any modification. I have a set of both. That is in regards to the OP's question, for the fmf headers and Toomey silencers. I would assume this would have to work in reverse order though. I haven't bothered to try them with my PC's and know for a fact PT mids will not interchange.
  14. My direct drive cover doesn't even have one, you're good.
  15. Bought a 4 mil crank off of him and everything checked out as pictured and exactly as he said it was. Good price and quick shipping. Good guy to buy from.
  16. Depends on how you ship. I bought some and the seller ended up not getting much for them. Told me shipping cost him 160. If you can send them to a commercial address I think that lowers it a bit. I had some 250r plastic sent UPS to my work and I think that guy got away with a 40-50 dollar shipping bill.
  17. I switched to the Amsoil Dominator years ago and love the stuff. Amsoil says to mix it at 50:1 so that's what I run it at, burns clean and I've never fouled a plug with the stuff. Also hardly leaves any carbon deposits in your motor. I have the saber for my weed eater and chain saws, I mix it a little heavier than 100:1 but not much. Definitely makes a difference, easier to start and no smoke or fouled plugs.
  18. If you created a new account and haven't taken all the steps to verify your address, bank account, added a credit card, etc it puts a small hold on the funds, this happened to a buddy of mine when I created him a paypal account. Just FYI.
  19. You can get new lakers in the neighborhood of 420 shipped. Might need to come down a bit to sell them quicker.
  20. I plan to order one and if the cap screws on to my vp jug I'm gonna order another one of those to replace the hose.
  21. You mean the spring is rubbing the shock body? Take a pic of it. I want to say its an armadillo three bar bumper, but I'm not sure. Do some google searches. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?yb12mt
  22. Lol wow, didn't expect that sort of reply. Congratulations on making yourself look like a douche, Internet tough guy. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?smjlm1
