68mm vs 72mm bore size on 4 mil
Trick2stroke replied to kessig4x4's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Aren't pistons more expensive? Would seem to be the only downside to the 72 mm. -
Bump, still for sale.

I'm in the same boat. I've been looking at houses and anything in a half ass respectable area that is in any kind of good shape is very steep. But truthfully, mortgage prices are about the same or less than rent and at least in the mean time you're building equity rather than buying a house for someone who probably makes a lot more money than you in the first place. Absolutely a buyers market regardless of seemingly high prices, as the others have said it was insane several years ago.

What if they fell off the back of a truck and didn't fit right anymore, could they be shearers then? Haha kidding of course, just playing off all the posts I read about the fitment. I agree though, they do remind me of PC's. So the raw finish pipes are over 700 and if you want chrome it's 250 more? Mother of god. I'd be inclined to high temp coat them in black. They make a high temp clear? I like the raw look if not for the added maintenance to prevent rust. They would be even cooler if they were made out of SS.

I understand you wanting to protect your investment but running too rich of a mixture isn't the way to do it. As others have said, switch to a good synthetic oil that recommends a 50:1 ratio, get a few sets of plugs, and play with one jetting circuit at a time and record the differences on paper and report back. Even take pics of the plugs. Depending on symptoms like sound, plug chop, and power characteristics it's easier for those of us reading to tell if you're on the lean or rich side.

I have a couple 250R calipers and that is how it was set up previously. But I like the parts availability of the yz caliper and it seems to work a little better. I originally wanted to swap over the KTM atv calipers but they want an UNGODLY amount of money for those fucking things. Nice write up though! Exactly how I did mine, wish I had found that first. I just sort of got the idea in my head and went with it till it worked.

The caliper is the front caliper from a yz426. It's close enough to elongate the holes in the 250R brake stay, by word of some of the 250R owners on ATVRiders, but I don't usually like doing half ass mods like that. So I am considering taking some measurements and drawing something up in CAD to send to JD.

Negative, 350 would be the final price on these, shipped. Yes'sir, got it from JDS. It's a 250r radius banshee bolt pattern.

Selling my beloved PT Mid's. Going with a Serval and a different pipe to compliment it. The chrome is in good shape, it's not show chrome by any means but there isn't any surface rust. Some slight discoloration near the cylinder flange as is typical. One dent that I found and of course it is visible from the front. Silencers are all aluminum, from the stingers to the can. The turn down tips are chromed and the right side is flaking, still no rust though. They're super light and being aluminum can be polished up with ease. Asking 350 shipped. Silencers will have fresh, never ran, packing. Tossed a spare set of cases, cylinders, and plastics on my roller to show what they look like mounted.

Awesome bike, I love seeing a bike with good suspension under it. -
Had to go check the gallery out after reading this post. This is the first I've seen of her and she's pretty hot imo, looks to have a nice body. I don't know who was talking shit to you but it sounds like they were just trying to get to you. I feel like we can all agree the raptor plastics are an abomination.

Good looking bikes guys. I like the way you cut the rears GwinnRap.

Tires can only do so much, the banshee is really front heavy, when your gf is on the back it shifts the weight to the rear. The best traction mod you can do is a -1 or -2 swing arm to get the banshee balanced out and hook.
-
Correct.

I have a YFZ style sprocket on mine so I may just go that route but would like to support a site sponsor if he started producing them.

You would have to get a billet carrier to run that and billet carriers have the axel off set from the center line, so when you spin them it will move the axel forward or back. That one doesn't have tabs welded on it yet to clamp down on the carrier once adjusted.

That's one beefy motor. Love the billet cylinders. -
What you guys think? 2001 Banshee
Trick2stroke replied to Banshee SE's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Haha, I was thinking the same thing until I clicked the link and read down a bit more. I was about to buy banshee's, part out the aftermarket, restore to stock, and drive them to GA. -

Incase some of you weren't on the same page PR is Puerto Rico. I can see them having a far different market than the states. -
Gotta watch out for Matt, he has a disease called knowledge and he WILL infect you with it if you read his posts like that.

700 Raptor front calipers on a Banshee
Trick2stroke replied to Foxtrot's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
It's a rather large improvement. I wouldn't run banshee calipers again. They can be had real cheap and are an awesome upgrade IMO. -
Exactly. What kind of four stroke are you looking for? ATV? Sport? Utility?

GPSs my Banshee today!
Trick2stroke replied to Buffalo-Banshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Years ago there was a police radar put on the main road of my neighbor and with simple bolt on mods 14/42 gearing and 22" tires I hit just over 80 on pavement. Seems about right to me. No reason I shouldn't be able to hit 9200-9500 RPM with that set up. -
700 Raptor front calipers on a Banshee
Trick2stroke replied to Foxtrot's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I say yes with about 90% certainty. I'm almost positive they're the same as the YFZ calipers and I know 100% they fit. -
I have a stock rear shock with a hypercoil spring that was revlaved by GT Thunder that's in awesome shape. I replaced it with an elka otherwise I'd still be holding on to it, really can't tell a whole lot of difference between the two. Gotta really be balls out to notice. Let me know if you would be interested in that, if you sell your stocker it'll be cheaper than sending it out to have the same work done. Set up for a stock length swing arm and a 200ish lbs rider. Everyone else is spot on though, extended a arms and a "stage 1" or "stage 2" type shock set up for you will be a miraculous improvement with a reworked rear.
