tried that m8. hd springs too,cant say its allways that it slips,just sometimes when you come on the power hard like.bored of it now so im lockin her.

cos shee slips like sex lube! tried 2 different new clutches with heavy springs but when shee hits middle the power band i gotta throttle off till she grips,tried lots of different oils,never had a problem till stan ported her,so i bought a lockup,plus its the "bling" factor innit. :cool:

ok,id would like to say sorry to all concerned with who i may of said harsh words,so,sorry ok. yes i had allready decided to balance my lockup,i dont see any problem with asking for advice at all.maybe just maybe theres someone out there that could of said,"yes i had a clutch from direct drive (or other manufacturers) that was causing vibration so they balanced it and it was a lot better",or that they were ballanced from factory or that i had recieved one that had slipped through quality control" bla bla bla... now as i see it lots of you have engineering degrees ect,but nobody has tried to ballance there clutch have they? do any of you ride on the streets with a lockup? i dont think so,so would you experiance long mile after mile of full throttle on a smooth surface? i think also not,so how do u know it is a waist of time? im not looking for performance difference or anything like that,my philosophy is "prevention is better than cure" and "think about it twice,do it once. if your answer is something like no its not worth it then say that,it shouldnt turn into a bitch fight.ok?no hard feelings.lataz....................... :happy:

the weights schloshing through fluid is called "drag" or resistance,that is totaly different to uneven weight distribution.so there goes your theory.

ok,u say its a tiny amount of weight,lets say that i put them on the lockup at any random place and it turned out that id put all the heavy onext to eachother,ok lets guess that the difference in weight on one half of the clutch is .5g,what happens to weights when spun around in circles? they feel heavyier,i would guess that a clutch basket can generate minimum 5 gravitys,so that .5g weight now becomes 2.5g minimum! do u see my point now?

hiya,i was bored so thought id weigh my lockup cams and weights to see how different they were. heres the weights, 1=27.11g 2=27.05g 3=27.03g 4=27.10g 5=27.15g 6=27.21g there is also a difference in the weights of the retension pins of up to .04,surely this inbalance of weight will cause vibration,bearing in mind that i do lots of prolonged full throttle on the streets,wattaya think?

ok,lets put it a simpl way,just for ease of maths lets say your generator has a maximum of 70watts output,that means that your lights at 35w each is total 70w,there is no more light to come! if you put two 50w bulbs in they will only burn at 35w each,simple.buy a bigger stator.

hi,mack,welcome to the HQ,good decision to buy a banshee,if you take the time to look around the forum,you will get a good idea of the relyabilaty of the shee,personally i have only had plugs and caps go on me,ive got around 35,000 street miles on her,on 2nd rebore and 2nd crank at the moment.but i replace things before they get too old n scabby.keep on top of her,change plugs n gear oil regulary and clean replace filter very regulary! prevention is better than cure,anybody who says the shee is unreliable is wrong,only neglected or wrong/badly set up shees keep brakin down.have fun :biggrin:
