  1. Slow, spend $13 on a new front sprocket - 1 tooth smaller than whatever you're running now. Problem solved.
  2. After you're done editing in imovie, go under file and export the vid to idvd. Um...I'm trying to remember all the details of idvd but i'm at work and don't have the mac here. idvd has a pretty good tutorial that will take you through the whole thing. I've always kept everything as a quicktime (.mov) movie so I couldn't tell ya how to make it mpeg. Maybe in some kind of save options?
  3. Bahia Santa Maria is on the Gulf of California side. No waves to deal with at least.
  4. Don't you have imovie? If not go out and pick up ilife (includes imovie) for $50. If you have OS X then you should already have it. Basically you hook up the firewire, load up imovie, click on import and your golden.
  5. Please tell me that shootout came from a gay mens magazine!
  6. Bahia Santa Maria, about 20 minutes south of San Felipe. Less than 2.5 hours south of the border. Nice little bay, no rules, free camping, ride on the beach, wakeboard behind the quad...whatever you want. God I love Mexico!
  7. I never worried about my old little trailer but this weekend will be my first trip to the sand since I got my big trailer. Do you guys air down your tires on your trailer as well as your truck? Trailer is probably around 2400 lbs loaded and has 2 axles. I'll have an onboard air compressor so airing back up is not a problem.
  8. About 30 or so pics are posted in the images section http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...=0entry257994
  9. For you guys going this weekend, be sure to stop by Alba for $25 stainless banshee grills.
  10. Oh you guys...I'm getting verklempt!
  11. I'm definately going tonight and I'll be bringing my camera just for Led.
  12. I might be there Friday night.
  13. Wow I'm amazed at what I just read. With the exception of 2stroker, you guys don't have a clue. My dad was an cop and worked undercover in East LA for about 10 years back in the day. Of those ten, he watched friends of his get mowed down by assault weapons on a regular basis. Lifting the ban, even out of state, makes it a whole hell of alot easier to get a gun. The majority of criminals aren't very smart. You see something you want so you take the shortest route to it. So you send out a group of 'kids' out of state, they break into the gun shops and steal the guns for ya. Apparently nobody remembers the all out gang wars that LA used to have, nobody remembers the drive by's with 8 dead civilians, 4 of them kids. That's great that you enjoy going out and shooting targets and using your weapon responcibly, but just realize that the price of that "freedom" is that a whole bunch of gang bangers are gonna have the same weapons, and they won't be pointing em down range at steel targets.
  14. I usually camp somewhere around the entrance to the dunes (marker 4 I think it is). I've got a white enclosed trailer that completely dwarfs the yellow Xterra that's hauling it. Shee is red/black and I'll be wearing grey/white/black gear and riding with another guy on a yellow 300ex.
  15. Banshee04le, you ever had that feeling that everybody gets a joke 'cept you? I dunno, maybe I was too subtle. I'll try to stick with "pull my finger" jokes in your presence.

    GPS

I just keep the lanyard on the gps and slip that on the opposite handlebar from the handlebar mount for a little insurance. I've ridden HARD with that bike mount and its never even hinted at coming off. No problems with batteries coming loose either. I've got the legend too. Also, if you're looking for a car holder, check ebay. I got a mount and a cig. adapter for half the price of the car kit at REI. You can't beat the etrex series if you ride sand. It'll display an arrow pointing to whatever waypoint you want. As you ride around, the arrow will continue to point towards your destination. The arrow is plenty big enough to see during a quick glance-down.
  17. Check out Cotten Eyed Joe on this site. Forget about getting some plans and hit the guy up for some of the nicest billet you'll ever see. Super nice guy and some mighty fine work. Prices are very reasonable as well.
  18. Shure did, spelling bee.
  19. Yikes, I couldn't even play! My comp was freezing up from stopping so much spyware from downloading!
  20. True HID's will run you around $600 for the cheapest variety. What you're probably thinking of is super white or blue bulbs that are made to look like HID's. You can pick these up at pretty much any autoparts store for about $20. I'm not sure what kind of bulb the stock banshee light uses but they're 35w.
  21. Q. What's the gooey black stuff between an elephants' toes? A. Slow natives.
  22. I'll be in Oceano Dunes for the weekend of the 24th. Prolly' get there in the evening sometime after dark on friday, leave Sunday afternoon. Anybody else goin?
