  1. Most people don't go 125mph all of the time so why don't you just drop a tooth in the front and you'll be able to pop it up so easy. Depends on what kinda riding your doing. I ride on the chat piles and a little through the woods and it works great and you can get a cheap one for only $8 just to see if you like it and just tension your chain to the max ya know just for a test.
  2. How much can you shave your stock head and how much will you gain with ever bit you do it. I have a machine shop at home and didn't know how many .001" to take off. Thanx.
  3. I paid 170 and they said they've only been ran for almost 3 hours. They do look farely new even though the outsides of them were very dirty. Also, the petals in the corners looked to have been almost creased at one point. I will try to move needle back 1 position and see if that helps. Thanx for all the input.
  4. You guys are funny. I'm thinking long term effect. And for all of you smart guys, aluminum will rust. Maybe not as fast just as stainless steel will rust with certain grades, conditions, and over time.We have a machine shop and deal with all types of metals all the time. It depends of what grade of aluminum and obviously I didn't know what grade they were so I asked this question. You guys are a great help.Thanx for the wax idea oilsmoke. E-mail me with more details [email protected]
  5. I have an 03 about 3 months old obviously stock bore & $150
  6. If I polish my own cylinders, do I need like a clear coat or something? Will they rust?
  7. My opinion. CPI's are much better
  8. I have the DMC 2:1 and it sounds wicked unlike any of your friends have ever heard. Power increases are fenominal. If you feel you lose some bottom end oh well. You yourself said you would rather drop a gear and rev higher in 2nd. If your still not satisfied buy a 13 tooth front sprocket for about $15 and that will definitely solve your problems no questions asked.
  9. An infared will go to that high of temp depending on which one you get. Probably for about $100.00
  10. MY bike runs good for the most part but I want a few more opinions on where to be on mains, pilot especially, and needle position. I have DMC 2:1 pipes, no airbox with a uni filter, v-force reeds, +4 timing advance, 50:1 premix, and as of now I have 320 mains, needle clip 2nd position, and 30 pilot. I'm not sure on my elevation in southwest Missouri. Temp is about 30 to 60 degrees about now. If it runs shitty at all its from 0 to 1/4 throttle. Been tuning slowly. Just wanted more opinions. Thanx for all the input.
  11. Unless your just hooked on FMF, I have DMC alien 2:1 chrome. Awesome power gains, above FMF, and sound sweeter than you or your friends have ever heard. They sound between and indy race car and a crotch rocket. They sound bad. Check them out at GoPartsDirect.com for about $476 with free shipping.
  12. Where is your compression supposed to be at lowest. I got a 119 and 120 that almost sounds a little scary. anyone?
  13. I recently purchased V-Force off of ebay so I didn't get any papers with it and they say you can adjust them to a stiffer position or a less stiff position. Can you and how? Also, after installing the reeds I did'nt notice as big as change as everyone says they give. A little difference in throttle response but not what everyone brags about. After installing all I did was lean out my needle 1 position which puts it in the 2nd clip position. Anyone?
  14. I've relocated my bottle up front also and have had no problems since.
  15. You might check out gopartsdirect.com and see if they will. They have some awesome prices.
  16. Mains. Who cares? But personally I like the vitos custom needles although there expensive.
  17. My stock banshee sucked also but now I have DMC aliend 2:1,uni filter w/ no air box, 4 degree timing advance, V-force reeds, and vitos jet kit , all for a total of $775.00 and I can kick ass when racing. I knew I wanted pipes with all low to mid power and when I got DMC's I got it. I jump off the line faster than anyone else with pipes and then the reeds help me out through mid. So after I jump the line starting in 2nd gear, they just can't catch up. If interested in these pipes check out gopartsdirect.com and for the reeds check them out on ebay. They always have new sets on there for about 180 - 190.00 compared to a reg. 220 plus shipping.
  18. Depends on what you what. If you just want to buy one new and not spend more money on it, buy the 450. If you have plenty of money go the shee. A stock shee doesn't do much.A stock 450 will stand up in 3rd. The new honda is said to put out a whapping 55hp at 9000 rpm & 36.5 lbs of torque at 7000 rpm. Not bad huh.
  19. I recommend the DMC's. They have awesome low end. I can beat everyone out of the hole and then they can't catch up.I have the 2:1 because they have the wickedest sound ever along with the awesome low end. The DMC dual barrels give even more power but just don't sound quite as good. There are about 10 of us that ride together and whether on dirt or sand I'm always in the front guaranteed. The only other banshee that rides with us has PC with some other mods and when I got the DMC's it blew him away. He couldn't believe the difference. My bike just runs a hell of alot smoother than his.
