  1. if its race ported for a stock stroke putting a 4mm in wont add much power, if you want the most out of a stroker you will have to start over with a fresh set of cylinders and have it ported for the stroker. welding is only 50 bucks at mp racing last i checked.
  2. www.shortysracing.com usually has a 1 week turnaround. more if the cylinders have to be shipped.
  3. i would like to think i have a hell of a banshee. a friend of mine has a built crf450 and bet me a grand he could beat me. after we raced he refused to pay. we raced the flats, up hill and from rolling starts and he never beat me. we were riding at winchester bay, or. the only dirt bike that has given me a run was a built cr500, he was right on my tail up boxcar.

www.shortysracing.com he will give you the best price.
  5. i believe you mooney, i have seen the same thing.
  6. if it is jetted right they will turn blue, if they are brown or yellow it is lean. they wont turn color it is too rich. my cpi's havent changed color, because they dont do a cheap chrome on there pipes. a good day of riding and they will have color.
  7. the last catalog i looked at it had a 30 day waranty. dont let them fix it though, they will just throw in another stock piston and give it back. do it yourself and put a set of wiesco's in, and have it ported. and call it a late christmas present to yourself.
  8. i have even raced a few crf450's and beat them with no problem.
  9. i made the switch last summer and never thought about going back. toomeys suck compared to the cpi's. i would definetly do it again.
  10. the orange bike is modded slighly. it has shortys drag port, cpi in frames, v-force reeds and pro design intakes, cool head and 34 mm carbs with k&n's. it ran a 4.8 in the 100 yards with water leaking into the cylinders due to bad dome o-rings. the le banshee has pipes and filters and was beating the 450 75% of the time.
  11. its in the electrical area of the parts finder. they are pretty cheap. i have also seen them in billet but couldnt tell you who made them.
  12. they take lubricants out of av gas that other fuels have. but you have to run mix oil with is so it doesnt matter. i ran out of av gas one weekend and had to buy race gas. the bike definatly ran better with the av gas. and yes i checked the jetting.
  13. that was a flagged race at sandlake in oregon. we all left at the same time.

  16. my bike is the orange one at the top of the hill. i believe the blue bike is the 450. it has been a while so i may be wrong.
  17. a buddy of mine was barely getting beat on his banshee by a 450 up comp hill in florence. and the 450 had the cam and pipe. his bike was stock with pipes. i can beat the 450 with stock stroke bike, no need for a stoker to beat one. i will see if i can find my pic of me racing one.
  18. i could do a better port job with a round file. i will trade you stock port cylinders at .60 over strait up.
  19. i have raced a few 450's against my banshee and they have never come close to winning. they are 4 strokes, it will take more than the bike is worth to make it as fast as a banshee built at half the price.
  20. there are some good deals on cycletrader.com to
