  2. tks i see alot are installing yzf450 shocks on there bike is that something to look at also?if i cut my swing arm down wouldn't that make the bike want to stand up more in the frt when i am getting on it?
  3. and whats your point mine are 25.00 cheaper and are brand new in the box with all of the papers never been installed.....i would buy something from a member and save 25.00 if it was me.if you want to throw 25.00 out then by all means do it.....most of the prices i see and what i paid for them is 219.00 from jeff at f.a.s.t.i myself would rather give money to the members and supports of this site then some web site that doesn't support this site....

  5. i hear alot of talk about how bad the stock susp. is whats so bad about it and what should replace? i do mostly trail riding and some light drag racing i will never do any mx to old and to big.but i do not mind spending some $ on the susp if it will make the bike handle better so if i replace some of the stock susp what should i replace and with what i don't want to buy a full race susp b/c i never plan on mx'ing the bike just trails and drags.tks
  6. you will have to find out what jet size you have now .i would think you should have to go up make the most 2 or 3 jets sizes..so if you have 270 you might have to go up to 280 or 290 or maybe 300 i would think that should cover the elevation change.....like the others have said i wouldn't buy a kit just go to the dealer or another shop in town and buy a few jets higher then what you have now....

  8. i would take some jets with you just in case hate to see you drive 2hrs and then have to re-jet your bike and then not have the right jet........i had stock carbs i mean everything was stock until i installed the paul turner and modded the air box and ran 320's and moved the needle clip down one notch

  10. man i would get rid of the tors system.........and just put some tops on it and a new cable they sell a kit for it and i am sure jeff at fast has one or can get one.thats what i would do those things are a headache i also got one of those tools from jeff works great takes the guess out of it......
  11. thats funny i would think your mains should be higher then that also are you running stock carbs right? hell i had a stock banshee and put some paul turner mids on it and install the intake kit and removed the air box lid and i am at sea level and had to put 320 mains in.thats the first thing i did to the bike and that was it.....and had 320 mains.....i would think you would have bigger mains then 310......good luck
  12. you didn't have to re jet after you put on pipes? when you remove your air box lid go with a filter kit fot the air box noss machine has them and i think you get a discount from him for being a member.remove your stock filter and mount the aluminum base to your air box and install the k&n filter..... your jetting will depend on serval things the pipes your elevation you can get jets at your local dealer or i just gave some away for stock carbs .when you get ready to do it make a post in the jetting forum and there will be tons of people to help you.....its not hard but alittle time consuming to make it right......
  13. i am using the motion pro gray fuel line.the problem is the pingel valve is 1/4 and the carb inlet is 3/16 there is not way i am going to be able to use the 3/16 fuel line b/c it won't fit over the pinal valve outlet i will use the 1/4 fuel line it will fit the pingal valve and not just slip off but its to big to fit on the carbs with out a clamp i will check some other places for a hose clamp every hardware store i checked didn't have one that small...so i put a zip tie on it and just cut it off at the carb............

  16. i have a problem i just installed some 28mm carbs the inlet is like 3/16 hose but the pingel valve i put in the tank is 1/4" hose.well there is no way in hell that the 3/16 fuel line is going to fit on the pingel and the 1/4 line is to big to go on the carbs without a clamp but i am playing hell in finding a clamp that small besides a zip tie what do you guys use to clamp your fuel line?tks
  17. remove the tors system .yeah its not a mod but will save you some headaches later ......you might want to put a cool head on there.....what about the air box have you modded that yet if not put a k&n filter on it and remove the lid..you can also buy a adjustable timing plate ..thats about it unless you want to tear the motor apart.....good luck

  22. i take it you have never ported anything .you don't understand how much time it takes......ask a builder how long it take to port out a set of jugs never mine the knowlege he has to do it and do it right......
