been fighting a jetting problem from idle to 1/8 throttle.you can sit in the driveway and try to rev the motor up and it bogs when you it the throttle before it will rev up..... if you try to rev it up slow it will rev up fine but if you try to hit it fast it bogs then rev's up.if you go to make a u turn in some sand or dirt and shift it down to 1st and try to hit the gas and make the bike slide around it just bogs.after the bog it runs fine .i tested it this weekend for air leaks held 6lbs of air for like 10mins so theres no air leaks i tried changeing the pilots from #42's all the way up to #50's still have the same problem.pull the choke out and the problem goes away.i have 28mm pwk's they came with 42 pilot in them when i got them they are brand new.could i need some pilots higher then 50's or is there another problem? maybe something missing in the carbs when they were put together?i know it doesn't have a air leak it held air for almost 10min didn't lose 1lb .....anybody? when the 50's were in there i went from 1/2 turn out to 2.5 turn out didn't make a difference maybe get some 52's or something.......anybody have some things i can check?if you run it thru the gears it runs great except for that bog at off idle......been fighting this for a few weeks now........

got a pressure tester from machwon nice looking tester he has them on ebay but i just pm'ed thru here and got a better price.yeah i could have went to home depot and got everything but how much time would that have taken and to what save 10.00 hell with that my time is worth more then that i could be out doing other things to make me more then 10.00...good guy fast on shipping..tks bob @ rb racing

alright i need to start over it was still bogging while turning or just siting in the street reving it up .i am using a boss racing intake and i found that the rubber boots bolt were lose so i tighten them up and replaced the plugs and it still has a delay or bogging when you try to rev it up or try to gas it into a turn i moved the needle cllip down to richen the needle but it does the same thing do you think my pilot is to big now and its to rich on the pilot .i am thinking that the intake bolts were lose and thats why it was running to lean b/c it was sucking air in thru the intake .it takes off okay but it has a bog to it still it doesn't have that snap it doesn't matter if you are sitting still reving it up or going into a turn and letting it idle and then gas it and try to make it slide around it still bogs .i think i should put the old pilot jet back in and see how it runs what do you guys think?????????

i guess i will try turning the handle bars and then see if it rev's up while sitting still......

thats what i was thinking maybe the needle is to lean .i will try and run it with the choke on and go into a turn and see what happens.its funny it doesn't do it when you run down the street only into a turn and let the motor bog down alittle.i will mess with it tonite or sat.

what do you mean pinched wire? it doesn't matter witch way i turn it does ot both ways......... i will look the bike over tomorrow and see if i see anything so you don't think its in the carbs?

oh were not done yet.. sycn'ed the carbs today got them going good together got the idle set right or close.took it out for a ride and it still bogs but it doesn't do it when you take off like it was before now it takes off fine its hard to explaine but here it goes.....say you are doing a u-turn in some dirt i shift it down to 1st and then start to turn and the motor bogs down alittle but doesn't shut off or come close and you know how you hit the gas and get it to slide around well now it bogs when you do that if you hit the gas to fast it bogs but if you stop and pull in the clutch and rev it up it rev's up fine.does that make any sense........ what do you think maybe a needle...but if i run it down the road and jam thru all the gears it runs fine it take off fine and from idle to wot it only bog if i try to turn and slide the rear around.i know you all have done this start your turn and lay the gas to it and the rear comes sliding around ........

yeah he's good to talk to and get stuff from he seems to go out of his way to help you ... now all i need to do is get the carbs sync'ed and play with the idle alittle and she's ready to roll sad thing is i won't ride it much after this b/c i live in south florida and its getting to be our rainy season and everything gets real wet where i ride and i am getting shoulder surgery in a few weeks.and i don't take my banshee in the mud at all a few puddles here and there but no serious mud not treating my bike like that ........

no problem i will let you slide....between you and jeff at fast its running alot better just have to fine tune it now......i got a sync tool from jeff also sometime ago.......

i found out the black plastic screw is a idle adjustment screw.....tks for the help........

tks guys.........how do you tell were the idle is set at? how do you know its at 1800rpm so the brass screw sets the idle also? right now its at 1 turn out i will see how its acts when i turn it to 2 turns out that should change the idle? what about the black plastic screw on the carb its black and plastic and has a spring on it what is that for it adjust the idle also doesn't it......

i checked for air leaks didn't find any i guess i can squrit diwn the bike with some brake clean and see if it changes..but when i went 3 turns out it got worse . i change the pilots it had #42 in it and all i had was some 50's so i stuck them in there and turned it out 1 turn on each and it runs better how do i judge how much to turn it out ? just turn it out 1.5 turns and see if it gets better? and just keep going.....

with the choke on its runs fine ..i turned them out 3 turns and it got worse......

when i pull the chokes out the problem goes away........

tks i will try that tomorrow.so just turn them out like 2 turns and see if it runs better .thats what i was thinking if its better then i can leave it 2 turns out but not 3 .do you think i might have to move the needle clip up right to lean it out?

got some new 28mm pwks and it seems like the jetting is close the only problem is when i take off and let out the clutch it bogs down and shuts off but if i rev it up alittle it will take off fine.do i need to adjust my pilots? if so which way do i go?

for some of you who are taking shit you don't know who wandel silva is .he is the pride champion he his what chuck is for the ufc one of the baddest guys in pride.a year or so ago dana white went over to pride with liddell and bet 100,000 that chuck would win the middle weight tourment.the tourment was like the old days of ufc you fight all night until there is only one guy and thats the pride tourment champ.well chucks first fight was against some kick boxer from holland who had some bad ass flying knees liddell won and moved to the next round and fought a black guy from america whos name was rampage jackson liddell got beat looked like he ran out of gas so there goes dana's 100k well the finals come up and its rampage jackson and wandel silva and siliva kicked the shit out of jackson.i hope chuck wins but wandel will not be a walk in the park or a easy win for liddell.....it should be a good fight b/c wandel like to stand up and bang just like liddell and just like liddell wandel has some knock out power.so it should be a good stand up war........
