  1. My setup was stock crank, dune port, T5's, K&N pod filters, advanced timing etc. I was running 158 mains in my 28's before this last tear down.
  2. I'm pretty sure I still have one in the garage someplace. You going to go to the sand show this weekend? Make an offer, I can bring it with me.
  3. As of now it looks like I will be heading out the weekend before. We should have about 5 banshee's in our group. That will most likely be my first trip out after getting my bike all back together. Can't wait!
  4. That recommended hauler will dune ok if you throw your body into the turns. I have a similair setup and have ran the sand skate II's the past couple seasons and like them alot for the dunes. Your right in saying the hauler will be better on the hill, but I like the sand skates better in the dunes.
  5. Yep, another vote here for clutch cable. Cheap and easy to replace and might take care of the problem. A friend of mine had the same problem. His clutch was way hard to pull. We replaced the clutch cable and it made a huge difference. Save the $100+ from the lever and try the cable first.
  6. Me and my bro, and a few other buddies on banshee's should be out around halloween. Not exactly sure which weekend yet though. Should be a fun season.
  7. I just picked up one of his kits too. I havent installed it yet, but they look sweet. I'm sending a couple of the pieces out for powdercoat with my frame. Cmon Wes, show us some pics...
  8. There are lots of other good builders out there that I would talk with before them. Glenn used to build the motors for them a while back and did great work. He hasn't been with the company for a while now. Two friends I know took there bikes there and both had motor problems shortly after. Another friend took his bike there for a pipe install, re-jet, milled head and timing advance. Well they did the pipe install and re-jetting fine, but they didnt mill his head nor do anything with the timeing even though he was charged for it. He didnt find out until just recently when we were tearing his motor down. Sucks cause he paid for it, and had been running race gas for a whole season for no reason. Call Kevin over at Custom Creations. He has done a few motors in our group and all of them run strong. (909) 862-9353
  9. Wicked ATV in So Cal, or are you asking about a different one? I have a few guys that I know took there bikes to Wicked in So Cal and did not have good experiences.
  10. Try Kevin at Custom Creations. (909) 862-9353 He has pretty good prices.
  11. I would do the compression test, and even a leak down. I had an overheating issue for a while that sounds similair. I went through the whole cooling system, re-jetted a few times and still kept getting hot. It ended up being the head gasket. I had a small leak. Good Luck
  12. I am planning on picking up a set as well. Although I am probably going to wait until October. I wont be out riding again until then. From what I heard there is a 90 day warranty from the time of purchase. So if I get them now the warranty would be up before I even get to try them out. Talk to Diesel over @ PDR. [email protected] He is local, and has great customer service. Has helped me out a few times and usually has good prices.
  13. I'm running 48 pilot and 158 mains on mine. Milled head Dune Port T5's K&N pods, etc.
  14. Could the frame be bent or tweaked a bit? That would throw off the holes.
  15. I have been running the lazer star lights for a few seasons now. I like them, and have had no issues.
  16. If I remember right, I am running 158 mains on my 28mm pwk's. My motor is ported and I have the T5's
  17. VP is good fuel. But I agree its a waste of $$ on a stock motor.

    A-arms/shocks

Custom Creations makes a good set of Arms. They are in So Cal. I'm running Elka shocks and I like them.
  19. I just put on my Tag bars and mount and really like them alot. I was running renthal before, and like these better.
  20. Been debating doing it for the first time. A complete walkthrough would help a lot!
  21. Any test rides yet? Which do you like better? What made you change from the CPI's to shearers?
  22. I have been thinking about trying a set of these style boots too. I havent had a chance to try any on yet. Oneal makes some. $98.99 Axo also makes some, but they are a little more $$.
  23. I just picked up a set with my new tag bars. The instructions say to put them on dry, but I dont see that happening. Are you guys using any lube or anything to slide them on? I have heard all kinds of things to use. WD40, spray paint, hair spray. Whats the easist / cleanest to use? Or should I just go get some grip glue?
  24. Pretty much sand dunes only for me. Maybe 1 trip a year to the dirt.
  25. If you do any sand riding I would definately get a set of the Oakley Sand goggles. http://oakley.com/o/o3607d I just got a pair a couple weeks ago, and by far the best I have ever used in Glamis for keeping out the sand!!
