Banchettas theory is: The needle is basically for midrange and the Mains you have now are much larger than stock so there is obviously more fuel getting in there so if you drop the needle there will be less fuel to lean it out, but there is still more than stock because of the size of the main jets.

I didn't mean that you won't be able to pull the taller gear all that I am saying is that your gearing depends on how long the track, strip, or whatever is. If your running a 300 ft drag race a 16 tooth front might be too much, especially in the sand. I have around 65hp right now and I am running stock gearing. Try to drop it down one in the front sand takes away a lot of horsepower.

Also a 16/40 gearing is all topend so if its a short drag drop down one or two in the front to get the holeshot. And a little tip don't short shift it let it rev out as far as you can.

I would paint the a/j-arms all one color. White looks cool thats what I have goin now. cut the front fenders too. As far as the clear clutch cover idea is concerned I thought that they only made them with a lock out. I could be wrong buts that all I have ever seen. Paint the swingarm white also.
