  1. Here is a pic of the guard on my X. The uprights basically curl under the bumper and go up and bolt to the frame. If you cut the guard just below the bumper that piece looks pretty much like a "U" I was going to make mine but I picked this one up used pretty cheap. It would be a pretty easy project though.
  2. It sounds like his pipes were $650 new so make up the $200 difference and you will be even.
  3. I got 7 different pop ups that wouldn't close when I clicked on it. I saw the bike but couldn't get any of those other windows to close. I hate popups!! I just downloaded a blocker and that seems to have fixed it.
  4. I say call the INS and be done with the whole thing. If he isn't fucking her why is he helping her?
  5. Seems ok now. Damn popups piss me off!!
  6. If you lose to a DS650 just sell your bike and buy a Honda because there is no hope for you.
  7. Yep, what he said. They concentrate all the power on the top end where a pipe like Fattys has it all around but not as much. Basically, if you like to have your bike always screaming then the Shearer will work for you. If you like to cruise and hit the trails though it may not be what you are looking for. I'm getting some porting and then I'll do a review of the Shearers v Fatty's. From what I heard it will be night and day.
  8. Well, I just left my engine builders place and asked the same question. I just picked up some Shearers so I wanted his opinion. He basically said that they are close but the Shearers pull a little harder. He did say that they are either on or off though but when they were on I would know it.
  9. Same here. Just pick one and stick with it.
  10. Mine are on the way! They look sweet and the price is right. Haven't heard anything bad about them.
  11. Well, thanks for the help guys. I have extra cases already so I'm going to give the JB a try and if it doesn't work I'll just switch cases. Oh SDD, This had nothing to do with chains or sprockets. Thanks for your opinion on JB Weld though. Some jackass rearended me and broke a nice chain and rear sprocket. Luckily that is all he broke on my bike. Before I could get off the gas it already sucked the chain through and broke the case.
  12. How much would you charge to polish one? The paint is mostly removed already.
  13. I know some of you guys have repaired your cases with JB Weld but how well does it hold up. I broke my chain this morning and took a chunk of case out just below the sprocket at the bottom. It was just enough that all the oil drained. Can I fill that hole with JB and call it good or is it time for another case? Here are some pics.
  14. I have a used set of rear stock tires/rims.
  15. Looks a lot like this one. PIPES You can usually pick up a used set on eBay cheap.
  16. I have a front fender that is uncut headed for eBay. PM me your email address and I'll send some pictures tonight.
  17. I have uncut blue 2000 front fenders if you are interested.
  18. Electrical tape, jig saw, and a grinder!! Nothing like the smell of melting plastic in the morning.
  19. I've been looking at those for a commuter. I don't need a bike that does 200mph. Just be careful out there. Too many morons on the road!
  20. Ok, that's what I was planning on doing. Just didn't want to find out later that there was an easy way. Thanks guys.
  21. That is a cool idea. I've never been down to Glamis but I hear it is amazing.
  22. I need to replace one of the studs in my rear hub. Does anybody have some advice on getting the old one out? I was thinking BFH since I don't have a press but maybe there is an easier way.

    Exhaust Clamps

I just used the stock ones on my Fatty's. Are you looking for something billet or just something that works?
  24. I'm pretty sure I have an impeller and gear in the garage. I have a stock CDI also.
  25. That's pretty trick. That guy sells all kinds of shit that I can't imagine anybody paying for.
