  1. Yea take them carbs off and clean them babys. Clean your air filter too wouldnt hurt. If you dont have one see if you can borrow someoens compresion tester and test the compresion if theres a difference in the compression then you probably need need to rering it.
  2. Ive never ridden against a raptor b4 but id definitely say that your Shee would smoke the raptor.
  3. Id go with moddin the air box, pipes, tires, and get a tors removal kit for it.
  4. That thing is in great shape, I wish my fenders were in that good of shape. Are they the originals or aftermarkets? You should slap some pipes on her.
  5. I was over at my friends house doing a little rippin around their house, when i decided to do some wheelies. I pulled off a few good ones, then on one i gave it a little too much and flipped it, then it started digging a big old trench in their lawn luckily grass can be put back in place lol.
  6. That does suck, i agree with fixitrod, maybe since you were riding more at lower RPMs, your pilot or needle must have been lean.
  7. I love Polaris, they are most reliable as far as im concerned. My friend had a 99 lite 340 and beat the hell out of it for 4000 miles and never had one problem, then got a 500 xc sp and never had problems with it besides hittin shit, and i have a 96 indy xcr 440 which runs very well also. The new edge suspension is wicked good my friends rides like a cadilac.
  8. Get a snowmobile . I put mine up for the winter, i cant see being able to ride something with such poor bottom end power in the snow. I just know id get stuck like 20 times if i tried getting out into the snow. But if your into that just make sure you jet it richer, 2 strokes ripp in the cold weather. Might want to get some good tires if you dont all ready have some.
  9. It seems that the more comfortable the grip is, the less reliable it gets and they wear out sooner. Ive had FMF grips and they are shot after a few months.
  10. I know through the trails its a blast. Its ok in the mud and real easy to ride. I've thought of gettin after market pipes and clutchin it but then i bought my banshee and never ride it any more.
  11. Yea True, but some quads can take a lot more abuse. Ive got a polaris trailblazer that i beat the hell out of. I havent had any problems besides flat tires and breakin the clutch guard. I use to ride it at WOT all the time, and havent had to change the rings yet, of course the thing is slower then hell so it aint workin as hard as my banshee. Hondas can take a lot of abuse too. Yamaha aint too bad, i have done quite a bit of work on my banshee but thats because its old. I'm sure a newer model would be able to take quite a bit of abuse.
