  1. One black spec is air cavity in casting that was uncoverd during rechambering process, jim did not even mention this to me, and when i asked him about it, he said not to worry, that it wouldnt affect anything and that it happens alot of the time. Did not affect compression or the way it would run at all. Like i said head is in perfect shape, worked great, and as you can see from the pictures there is not a spec of dirt on this thing! Cody
  2. I was running 185 and 7 degrees, all depends on setup, some like 5 some like 10
  3. Ya something doesn't seem right, what hangers are you using? Like I said I'm using cascade hangers and my pipes didn't need any shimming. Maybe you might wanna give matt a holler or whoever you got the pipes from if all else fails.
  4. Mine dont hit, but you may have to put a washer under the mount to the frame
  5. Got asi's on both mine and the girls, both fit great even with my fullbores. Was able to use metal bushings, im sure they are the same rads as the others mentioned.
  6. anybody? Might have to throw it on ebay will post pics tommrow, barley any runtime on it, decided to not run race fuel after a few trips. No nicks or dings whats so ever!
  7. Is there much of a gain to be had here? I run a boss billet 1 piece thats the circle to match up to my vforce 3's
  8. you have to pull pretty good, i can usually do it with needle nose, but sometimes i use small vice grips!
  9. bump, offers, trades, could use a nice rear shock for the girls bike! shoot me a pm Cody
  10. Appreciate the offer, but i will pass. Still for sale!
  11. unless he changed something, good luck fitting the box lol
  12. Cut and rechambered stock head for a 4 mill by Jim at passion racing, head is in beautiful condtion and at 1000 ft will put you at 185psi. Run 110 with this head. 100 shipped Cody
  13. buddy bent his t9s out on the first run also. I run douglas quad roks, cant beat them, there really tough!
  14. wow, no reply lol. Well the clutch is adjusted properly and doesnt slip anymore!!!!. My thermo cap reads about 20 degrees higher than my girlfreinds when both are cold, so maybe i have a problem there. Ill have to stick in a cup of hot water with a temp gauge and see how they compare. But would like to know what others are seeing for temps
  15. okay i adjusted clutch just like it says in clymers, aligned the mark on case to clutch arm. Going to try it out tommorow and see, now which side of the pointer would i wanna be on (stator side, or clutch side) if i wanted to be safe that the pressure plate is 100% all spring tension on the clutches? Also how hot your guys shees running? Oh and forgot to mention in other post running type f atf. Thanks Cody
  16. Long story short, ive been having problems keeping the clutch from slipping on pavement (mods are in sig). I installed a fast heavy duty clutch with 6 of jeffs heavy duty springs. Clutch still slips, i have a pancake bearing and magnum billet basket. I recentlty installed a noss head and knocked my compression down to 130psi (because kept popping head gaskets). When i was riding the trails hard for a day, the shee wanted to run 215-220 F(according to my mr gasket cap) Granted it was a 90 degree day. So i purchased a bigger aluminum rad off ebay in hopes of cooling her down. I also have a prodesign billet impeller. I know this is a bunch of questions but How hot do your guys shees normally run, and whats safe? Anybody wanna take a shot at the clutch slipping issue, i am going to silver lake this sunday and know i will be hooking good with my 9 paddle extremes, so i dont want the clutch slipping, pancake bearing adjusment walkthrough may be needed here, been awhile since i dinked with the shee. Also i noticed when i was pulling my old rad, that i have two smaller "puke hoses" right down front on the clutch side a arm, is there suppose to be two or just one there? Thanks Cody
  17. jeff is the man, recoverd my gsxr seat and my banshee! Thanks jeff, loving the pipes still! Thanks for all your help and keeping up with me, you are a great freind that i would love to meet someday!!!!!!!!
  18. whatcha got for the guys with the 4mm crank and noss head already? Just curious, also whats up with the arp nuts., is this something new? Also anybody running arp studs, has anybody had trouble with the head lifting?
  19. love my shearers, interested to see how the snipers will do on a similar setup!
  20. like others said great guy, great work, but does take forever and is very hard to get ahold of !
  21. Cool, ill call dave. Checked clutch adjustment again today and its adjusted correctly. I do a lot of trail riding and don't want a lockup and don't wanna spend money on a lockup. Plus paying 6.66 a gallon for 110 is just ridiculous. Ill just back my timing from 7 to 4 and lower the compression.
  22. Clutch is brand new, only used a couple times with brand new fast heavy duty springs (all 6 installed), clutch is also adjusted perfectly. Guess ill have to call dave to find out on the domes.
  23. Because I don't want a lockup, I ride lots of trails. Bike is plenty fast and 110 is to damn expensive
