They found the owner....taken from MSNBC's site: "Sheriff

I'm real happy with my V-force 2's. Haven't had any problems with the screws backing out of the cages either...(noted problem)

You serious Jeff? LOL, that's the setup I was thinking of running on this new project I'm about to start; weird...great minds think alike! When did you pick this stuff up? I wanna say stclark had the same setup but can't say for sure if his was stroked. You gonna be running two carbs or one?
-
And they are exactly right.

That's how I feel too. A dog can tell you a lot by the positioning of their ears....sounds silly but it's true. I don't dislike dogs that have their ears cropped, some look really good. I just wouldn't have my dog's cropped.

You should definitely be able to get the head pipes done for under 200, but before you do that, I'd still break out some SOS pads and see how clean you can get them. I think the SOS pads would work great on the main body of the pipe, not sure about the part coming off the jugs though. You never know, it's worth a shot, and you might be happy with how they come out....then you could put that 200 toward other engine mods I've cleaned some really nasty shit with SOS pads
-
That all depends on what kind of shape they're in now...do you have a pic of how bad they are? I know that you can use SOS pads to get a lot of the crud off the pipes and it won't harm the chrome at all.

450 ? Not banshee but still yamaha
bigboybanshee replied to itsjustagreat1's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
You are right for thinking it's a lean condition, mine did the same thing before I got it jetted right. It's also not uncommon for it to shoot a small flame out the exhaust, but it shouldn't be doing it consistently. What kind of wrench does he need for the plug? Last time I changed it we didn't use a wrench, just a ratchet with the right sized socket/extension. Granted, I'm at sea level but I have the same mods as superdave (different pipe though) and am running a 172 main, 48 pilot, NCVQ needle at the 4th clip from the blunt end...fuel screw is 2.5 turns out....just for reference -
Agreed!!! Good luck to ya!!!

Agreed, R.I.P and god bless this man's family.

Thanks for all the offers everyone! After I had talked to a couple of my riding buddies about it, we decided to just build another banshee using the leftover parts from my last build. None of them wanted to see me get rid of the 450, and the guy I sold most of my old banshee parts to agreed to "sell" them back so I could build another banshee....guess he realized how bad I wanted another one, and meant more to him to let me have it than to have one for himself Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up, I was just ready to trade the 450 to have another banshee...I guess I should have explored my options a little further before posting this.
-
Just wanting to change back, without selling the banshee I have now. I was thinking it would probably be easier for me to do it this way, rather than sell it, pay it off, then go look for another banshee. The 450 is great and all, just doesn't give me that rush that I get from the powerband of a 2-stroke LOL, it really all depends on what kind of offer I get...I know there are a few banshee owners out there wanting to get their hands on one of these
-
I'm throwing the idea around in my head about trading my 450 for another banshee. Right now, I more or less am interested in what kind of offers I'd get, but I'm not 100% sure I want to do it. I'm looking for a banshee that's setup for woods riding or something similar...anyone interested? The 450 probably has about 40-50 hours on it, used Amsoil oil and changed it every 10 hours. Runs real strong. I don't have the title, the most I could do is provide a bill of sale...I'd just keep paying on the 450 like I still owned it; no strings attached. It has: Trinity full exhaust K&N pro flow kit Cam mod Zip-ty fuel scew Duncan bumper I-razor rear tires billet led taillight + a few other billet covers Let me know if you're interested and what you'd be willing to trade,if anything....lol
-
Where are you basing that info from? I've had mine for a year with about 8 hours use a day off and on; no problems with it yet. The only thing I've heard of going out in the DLP TV's are the lamps, but that's only after an incredibly long amount of hours and they can be replaced really easily. DLP's are some of the best TV's when you want to compare picture quality to price for a large screen tv
-
If you don't sell those 9 paddle extremes, bring them with you to LS...I might wanna try them out; possibly pick them up depending on how well they hook
-
I've got a 50" Samsung DLP tv and love it, especially for the price compared to plasmas It's a great tv, I've been real happy with the quality of the picture. Watching movies on it is like sitting in a small scale theater.

Memphis motorsports won't let me drag it out there...I've called and called and argued with them but they won't have it. I'm planning on running it at Byhalia's 1/8th mile track, and maybe Dyersburg, TN's 1/8th mile. I didn't get to race much last year, finished the build right before the tracks closed. What kind of track do you have out your way?

What does a boost bottle do?
bigboybanshee replied to batouttahellbanshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
After you read all these posts, you'll know more than you'll ever want to know about boost bottles. The search button does wonders http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...te=boost+bottle -
Welcome to the forums!!

I've done that before too, used it on my car to find a noise in my transmission Worked great!

I wouldn't put a whole lot into it...my buddy spent damn near a grand on high compression piston, titanium valves, cam, bigger carb, etc. and only gained a few hp. I was still kicking his ass on a stock port banshee with just pipes and filter, and I weigh a 100 lbs more than he does. I'd give him a 3 or 4 quad head start and still spank him in 100 yards. Granted, he would go through some trails I could only look at, but all in all he was always last in a race....he got fed up with it and sold it for a grand, and took that money and put it into a yfz450...then wondered why he didn't do it sooner I think you'd be better off not putting the money into the engine and save it for maintenance/repairs or a down payment on another quad; just my measly .02

Sand Skate 2's on douglas wheels for my friend that's coming with me to LS

Chalk another one up for John, just got a set of wheels and tires from him, great to deal with as always
