I need to replace my rollers. Need some input on what to get, and what to stay away from. Any advantage to using the slider over the roller?
-
next question.. standard or race? pros and cons of each?
-
Is that the green stuff?
-
that purple stuff from castrol works well too, just make sure you dont get any on bare aluminum. it'll eat into it, and leave marks...

The bike all of a sudden, started to bog between (about) 1/8 and 3/4 throttle. Same temp, same riding area, no new mods..... It bogged till about 3/4 throttle when the powerband kicked in. I played with the air screws, but that did nothing. I switched out the 27.5 pilots, put the 25's back in, and adjusted the air screws again. The bike ran great. It doesnt make sence(to me). I read over the jetting FAQ again, and it sounds like i should lean out the needle(i'm on the 2nd from the top now), put the 27.5's back in, and adjust the air screws. Just looking for others opinions.. my mods...noss head(19 or 20 domes), K-n-N, fatties, V-force reeds, 320 mains, 2100 feet above sea level, and 60F out

Thats not the adaptor(the one for the banshee is a big oval), but yeah thats the set up. Check out noss machine, i think he has an adaptor plate set up too...anyway, no you dont have to remove the air box. you drill 2 holes in the front of the box, and attach the adaptor plate to the airbox with those screws.

Those are all good suggestions....done most of em myself....That sh!t got old real quick. pony up for a set of ramps...you'll be a lot happier...
-
yes you will have to rejet. Rocky Mountain ATV sells the adapotor plate, filter, and outer wears as a set. Pretty good price too. If you do search for air filter or pro flow adaptor, on here, you'll find an "S" load of info on the kit, and were to start with the jetting.

street bike riding gear-for sale or trade
Otis replied to Otis's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
nope not trying to scam ya at all. It took me a lil longer then expected to get it out(emailed ya to tell you that last week too). sorry again for the delay. -
I have the IMS classic. good looking bumper, and the "handles" come in handy when moving the bike in the back of the truck. Their Intimidator bumper isnt bad looking either. There's one out by bling star thats pretty sweet looking (not the iron cross one).
-
I like em a lot. I've them on my street bikes, and just ordered a set for the banshee.
-
That o ring doesnt do much, when the air box has a slight curve to it. plus tighting the screws only makes it worse..
-
Yep......what David said..... I was getting wet sand caked on the bottom of my filter(how it was getting past the outter wears i dont know, but....) I just did the RTV thing this past week. havnt been out to test it yet...

You try posting on Pavementsucks.com or TDR both links btw....

I say jump on it. 4 grand isn't a bad price, for a bike that clean, and that modded out. your gonna end up doing most of em(if not all) over time, at a much higher price, anyway. I say do it!...jmo..

Last ride of the day, we decided to take a trail run. we get about 10 miles from no where and see this green spec in the distance, and decided to check it out. We get there and see that it's an Oldsmobile Bravada that slid down an embankment(soil gave way from the recent rains), and ended up the way it did in the pic. Well we couldnt miss seeing how they were going to try and get out of this situation. So we offered up a few suggestions, and watched....After about 20 minutes of watching them trying to dig out(basicly doing nothing) My buddy and i offered to get a couple tow straps and our trucks and pull em out....Long story short...I hook up the ol dodge to the front of the Bravada, hooked another strap to the back of the bravada, and to a another pu( used as an anchor, to keep it from flipping over) an yanked her down the rest of the way.. pic 1 pic 2

Did you follow the directions on doing the test correctly? The first time i did a compression check, i just put the tester on and kicked kicked kicked...only got to 60.... Warm the engine up for a few minutes, and hold the throttle wide open while you kick it over....i may have forgotten something. I'm sure if you do a search on how to do a compression test it will tell u exactly what to do...

Try it, what could it hurt...if it doesnt work, so your out a buck twenty, and have a sticky sprocket... IMPACT WRENCH.....works like a charm....every time!!.. if you dont have one, use a piece of pipe as a breaker bar on your ratchet.... and then get yourself an impact wrench!!

I used that PJ1 Yammie OE blue on my frame. I didn't really put that much effort into it. Just taped off things i didnt want blue and went to town....Looked good for about a month, then started to fade. Still looks good from a few feet away, but up close you can tell it was a half ass job....o'well for 16 bucks it still looks better then the drap yamaha grey it came. Maybe one day i'll get off my ass, strip er down and take her to get powder coated...maybe not..

I was told that TCS uses Elka shock bodies, just different springs....
