i raced yesterday but the tracks i race here in the uk are quite tight at the momment i'm running a 15/42 but spend most of the time in the first 3 gears so will i be better off running a 14 or 13 tooth front sproket jiff
-
bounce one the front to settle the front down then set the toe in to 10 degrees camber to 4 degrees negative. works for me here down south

the track is foxholes near salisbry www.foxholesmx.co.uk it one of my fav tracks. as for the shee well it's flying i had a few small gremlins but its going good now i'm thinking of changing the front sprocket bec ause at that trac the highest gear i hooked was 4th and i'm running a 15 at the moment but if i go down a tooth the front would never stay down jiff

coolant not low 150 psi each side well to be honest the left is about 148 and the right about 149. coolant level not dropped a lot if any and the left side piston is not washed and clean as it would it the head gasket was leaking.
-
right just been out to it again and sprayed the crank seal fly wheel side, base gasket intake manifolds with carb cleaner no change i have also swaped carbs but the problem is still on the left side so that rules out the jetting i suppose . at idle it pops on the left side and not get hot but if i raise the idle useing the throttle or blip the throttle it seems to run but blows out a lot of white smoke bloody confusing if you ask me.

i run a rz350 yvps motor with 28mm flatslide carbs but since i have rebuilt the bike i i have had a few running problems. the bike will run but the left hand cylinder only pops and not really get warm while the right runs fine. re-synced the carbs first then i have cleaned the carb 3 times i have even swaped the pilot jets and main jetts side to side and blown out with compressed air i also have swaped the reed cages and plugs but still will not run 100% on the left cylinder so i swaped the plug leads over no change . i reoved the right plug lead and conected a dummy plug on it so it would start just on the left cylinder and it did it also would rev as well but as soon as i reconected the right hand plug the left started poping and not getting hot. i checked the commpresion and it's about 10bar (150psi) on both cylinders any ideas i have the first race of the season next weekend trigg

yeah you are right i run the rz motor, the thing is after about 10 mins the thing will fire up the only thing i have really changed is the wiring loom and a shorter exhaust bracket on the right hand expansion chamber. i know the loom is fine becaused i have checked it to many times and to be honest that is my day job. i'm going to build it back up tonight and let it run an see what happens i am going to have to find somewhere i can take it and hit a jump quiet hard
-
i have made a longer exhaust mount to space it away the same as the one that was on there last season which i had no problem with . i'm sure this is the problem i just need someone to say say that they have had this problem because i have a race in a couple of weeks and the first jump is a very fast up hill
-
afraid not new race loom new connectors checked continuity of loom and checks out perfect
-
i have just rebuilt my shee over the last couple of months but on taking it out at the weekend the thing just cut out dead as if someone had pulled the kill switch. iit done it as i landed a jump mostly but i think it was just coincidence . the loom is new and has checked out perfect the only thing is the coil was touching the pt hi revs not a lot just the corner of it. what i'm thinking is that the coil is getting to hot and when i land a jump it's shorting out inside what do you lot think trigg

Need help from the RZ guys......plz.....
trigg replied to Quinlan's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
try doing a search on here for the wiring diagrams if you can't find them i may have put them on disc some where. some people just cut out what they did not need in the rz loom but i made my own race loom with a battery elimnator in. this way it keeps down anything that may go wrong in the system. in my last rebuild that i have just finished i re built the loom well i made about 4 seperate looms so i can trace faults if need be quicker as for blockin them off i tried on my first engine but it was the best i used a couple of stainless inserts . you could just leave the valves in and set them where it's best for your type of riding. jiff -
where are the photos going when i post them
-
after 14 weeks of a major rebuild the shee is 99% done running and everything, but and yes its a big BUT i dont know if i like the frame color now do i strip it again and change the color or leave it and find somthing else to do in the evenings so what would you do and if its change the color to what
